In for two. You sold me when you said I could use it in my car to work with my car's speakers. Meh, stop trying so hard. I shouldn't be excited about my purchases here.
I got one of these using Thinkgeek points a few years back. You actually get some decent sound out of the little think plus you can modify bass by turning the clasp to open the speaker capsule.
The speaker actually holds a solid charge and doesn't take long to charge up.
Ok, after five mehs in a row, I'm in for 3 on this one. But hey, mehsters, why won't your software accept "AP" (Armed Forces Pacific) in the "state" field, when SmartPost [sic] has no problem delivering to military addresses? (I was able to order by using "CA" instead, but that shouldn't be necessary.)
Just want to verify something before i pull the trigger. My car currently doesn't have bluetooth but I have an aux jack. All I need to do is plug this in, and I can pair my phone to use hands free as well as playing music?
I'm fighting the urge to buy these as well, but after reading the specs, I just can't fight much longer. Darnit, I just got over *oot (sort of) and now I find this site. Must fight... Ah whatever, in for two. Meh...
I have one of the older non-bluetooth X-Minis, and It has been great. I'll be happy to have a bluetooth one now, and I'll be able to daisy chain them. Considering that a site for "smart masses" has a similar product for twice as much, this is a good buy.
OH MY GOD. I was just looking to buy something like this, because I need to make two boomboxes bluetooth-compatible by this weekend. (Camping trip!) How long is shipping from Meh? I'll be in for 3 if shipping doesn't take long.
This might be exactly what I've been looking for. My phone no longer sends right channel audio over the aux jack, so I've been looking for another way get audio to my stereo.
Can you use one to make something bluetooth and then use another to be the receiver of this bluetooth connection.{ Thinking of TV -- to make a bluetooth speaker for someone who has trouble hearing but hates headphones} Or am I even more technically confused then ever ?
In for two. I considered buying more, but resisted the urge. First meh.
(I wanted to say "First meh!" but didn't want to get ostracized for using an exclamation point in conjunction with the site's name, as I realize that our collective goal is to remain completely nonplussed here.)
How come is it that on meh.com I type in my zip code and it automatically fills in the city and state and on every single other website, even the fancy ones (I'm looking at you, apple.com) make me fill in the city and state and then the zip code? Why meh.com is so smart?
I have two sets of old (but kick ass) Altec Lansing PC speakers with sub woofers collecting dust in boxes in my office. With the Bluetooth thing, I can now, for the price of 30 American dollars, move one set to my garage, and the other set to my summer home, and get some use out of them. Also, I call my back porch my summer home because I'm pretentious. Thanks meh!
Speakers came today! I'm already super impressed with these little guys. Nothing meh about them. Nice find! I'm in for another (have two so far) as soon as they're up again.
Yup. This was a quality buy. I got mine today as well, and based on my experience so far, I'd likely buy more if they were sold again.
I think they'll make pretty decent little gifts.
I find that as long as I stay below 3/4ths volume, the sound is richer than expected, and distortion-free. (Above that volume level, the poor thing jumps around like crazy and the low-end sounds painful.)
Wow. Just got it an hour ago, have been experimenting with devices, and I am seriously impressed. My opinions fully align with Crixus and DaveInSoCal above. If/when you have these speakers on offer again, I will definitely buy at least a couple more. (Shallowly, it also helps that they're seriously adorable.)
Does anyone else have an issue with the pairing? My phone remembers the device, but every single time I turn the speaker on, I have to go into the bluetooth setting on my phone and click the device to connect. I've never had this issue with any other speaker, so I don't think it's my phone. Other than this, I'm pretty happy with it. So far, I've just been using it in my vehicle.
The only other thing that I find annoying is that I have to mute the speaker every time I use it. I would have thought that when it was plugged into my van's aux port that the speaker wouldn't produce sound, but it does. I guess some people might prefer it that way, though.
@JonT I don't know what to think. In my extensive testing... of one other device (Macbook Pro), it automatically connected. Yet my iPhone automatically connects to other devices. It's like the two just don't play well. I tried "forgetting" other devices on my iPhone, but all I gained there was a night full of re-pairing.
@JimCil I still have not had luck getting it to auto-pair. To be honest, I haven't tried too much since then because it's such a pain. I bought it to use in my van to use with my stereo system. But, it's such a hassle (I'm lazy) turning the speaker on, waiting 10 seconds or so, going into settings on my phone, then blue tooth settings, then telling it to connect, wait for it to connect, back out and go to Pandora, wait for it to start, then wait for it to play through to the speaker, then hit the mute button a couple times until it finally works so that it's only playing through my car speakers. Most of the time when I'm getting in my car, it's because I need to go somewhere right then and I don't have time to mess with all that. I was thrilled with these speakers at first, now they're just 'meh'.
When I turn mine on in Bluetooth mode the blue light doesn't flash and remains solid. I never can see the device via Bluetooth from my iPhone or iPad. I can play through it using the cable, but no Bluetooth at all? Any tricks to get pairing to work?

4.2 out of 5 and $34.99. I may not purchase this, but I like you guys. For serious
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B0071AKB38/ref=mw_dp_cr
Eh... at least it isn't a speaker dock?
But it sure doesn't mind working with them. >:|
Actually a pretty solid deal here at first and only meh glance... $34.99 on the 'zon.
Noticed that -- has good reviews too. Too bad I still can't think of a reason I'd need it
Even the Thinkgeek version of this is $29.99. This is a winner.
@ComputerMD82...don't forget about the outrageous shipping rates though...
@studerc True, they might as well be the same as Zon. I thought of them since I remembered seeing the speaker there.
2-for-less-than-1 ! Can't go wrong :)
Some recent reviews...not so good.
I own two, and they are a great deal at the price here.
In for two. You sold me when you said I could use it in my car to work with my car's speakers. Meh, stop trying so hard. I shouldn't be excited about my purchases here.
Got one. God, I'm a sucker.
The "Buddy Jack" feature looks interesting. Big plus for rechargeable batteries too, my old one used 2 AA batteries.
Edit: Also bought 2 to try the Buddy feature :)
Hmmm...not sure I need one. Anyone care to talk me into a reason to buy it anyway?
Cause, meh. And, I generally don't use speakers with my iPod.....
Because you want to see a fun order word combination! noticeable-unique-mother was mine.
Got your Burnt-Guilty-Ham right here.
@katylava, @shawn, which of you did this? There's no way it's a coincidence.
You did it to yourself
fastidious-jiggly-plane ... Eek!
@jont Yo Mama is Noticeably Unique. (New idea: all order numbers are Yo Mama snaps.)
I got one of these using Thinkgeek points a few years back. You actually get some decent sound out of the little think plus you can modify bass by turning the clasp to open the speaker capsule.
The speaker actually holds a solid charge and doesn't take long to charge up.
@studerc How well does the mic work? I really want to be able to use this as a hands-free device in my car.
@PurplePawprints sorry to say I never used the mic feature. The speaker worked well so I'm sure the mic would work in similar respects.
Well, glad to know that the speakers work really well, at least.
@PurplePawprints Just tried it. It was ok. A little muffled & I bet car noise would make it worse, but that's true with any mic I've used.
Thanks @Dave! You already had my sale, so that wasn't really necessary, but I appreciate it nonetheless.
Now I remember why I hated the original woot. In for two. Damnit.
Indeed. I can feel it starting again.
I did the same here. And now that I have them I don't regret it a bit.
These are selling big in Wyoming. I wonder if they go to An Undisclosed Location.
I don't know much about Wyoming but my guess is that is one county...
Ok, after five mehs in a row, I'm in for 3 on this one. (I was able to order by using "CA" instead, but that shouldn't be necessary.)
I'll make sure we get an answer for you tomorrow.
You know, I'm actually not sure. AA, AE, and AP probably just need to be added as options for shipping. I'll check first thing tomorrow.
psst guys - it already was tomorrow in meh time
So there are some logistics needs to figure out before we can directly ship to APO. FAQ updated https://meh.com/forum/topics/faq
Thanks...I hope the "logistics needs" can be figured out soon. Meanwhile, please let me know if I need to change the address on this order.
Just want to verify something before i pull the trigger. My car currently doesn't have bluetooth but I have an aux jack. All I need to do is plug this in, and I can pair my phone to use hands free as well as playing music?
That looks to be the case.
correct. you'll be using battery power unless you also give it USB juice.
Darn it... in for two.
These speakers are pretty decent considering the size! Have the same one under some other knock-off brand name
I'm in for two of these as well. They'll be perfect even I go on vacation in a couple of weeks, assuming they're here by then.
This is starting to feel like oot again, buying something just because its a good deal. Must hold off. It is so fun getting packages.
Ocarina of Time?
More like A Link to the Past
It's not that good.
50% off, that's pretty good
Puns not fitting easily into context. Try Force?
I Am Error.
Used to be $99. Awesome deal, no matter how many years have passed!
Hey this isn't the coffee maker I came to buy. Checks watch. Checks website... Ah, 9pm PT.
Foo.
Yeah, I missed yesterday entirely.
I'm fighting the urge to buy these as well, but after reading the specs, I just can't fight much longer. Darnit, I just got over *oot (sort of) and now I find this site. Must fight... Ah whatever, in for two. Meh...
I know a dumb question but what is Dongle? If it has Blue tooth connection what is the plug for?
Recharging
dongle means it connects to another device - in this case to receive Bluetooth audio and feed it to the device's auxiliary input via cable
Tee hee, you said dongle.
Damnit, now I'm going to have to have a long talk with the wife about our financial futures and budgeting for the future. Thanks, Meh....Assholes.
I own the corded version of this and it really isn't much louder than the speaker on my smartphone. I'm pretty meh on it.
Considering the write up, I'm impressed at the lack of toilet humor thus far.
Add bluetooth capability to my receiver for my turntable for $15? Sold.
I have one of the older non-bluetooth X-Minis, and It has been great. I'll be happy to have a bluetooth one now, and I'll be able to daisy chain them. Considering that a site for "smart masses" has a similar product for twice as much, this is a good buy.
heres a how it works and sounds video. its pretty badass.
Cool. It sounds exactly like my computer speakers. Er, wait...
Hi my name is Loser , and I have a buying problem
In for three already, but is it possible to have them all toothed to the same device simultaneously, or do they need to be buddy jacked together?
it may depend on device but I'm thinking buddy jack
OH MY GOD. I was just looking to buy something like this, because I need to make two boomboxes bluetooth-compatible by this weekend. (Camping trip!) How long is shipping from Meh? I'll be in for 3 if shipping doesn't take long.
too long - I don't expect you can get them this week unless you are very close to Dallas area.
Well the Roomba from day 1 came in on Friday for me, but then again I live in North Texas, close to where it shipped out of.
@kubi you probably recieved the very first shipment from meh! Congrats on your "achievement."
Can I link them so that they play different channels of multi-channel sound? (e.g., L/R stereo where one speaker is left and the other is right)
I would guess so, but this is completely dependent on what device you're using to send audio.
They do not provide a L/R experience, just a noticeable boost in sound when connected.
also the cords are shorter than "that's what she said"
I'm already in for three. I'll figure out something fun to do with them.
I was confused at first, too. No, you can't use this to make something a Bluetooth sender. Only receiver. Works with the AUX IN jack only.
not bad
In for two. I considered buying more, but resisted the urge. First meh.
(I wanted to say "First meh!" but didn't want to get ostracized for using an exclamation point in conjunction with the site's name, as I realize that our collective goal is to remain completely nonplussed here.)
you aren't the first...
How come is it that on meh.com I type in my zip code and it automatically fills in the city and state and on every single other website, even the fancy ones (I'm looking at you, apple.com) make me fill in the city and state and then the zip code? Why meh.com is so smart?
Well it should be noted that some zip codes cover multiple cities. Maybe Meh is smart enough to not auto fill those ones though.
it'll auto-fill the city, but let you change it
For example, one close to me, 55117, covers a part of Saint Paul, Maplewood, and Little Canada.
In for two. Couldn't resist the brilliant copywriting.
excite!
I love that they acknowledged "Actually, this thing is pretty good". I had to buy it.
Blast! This is not a picture you want a coworker to catch on your screen. Too many questions.
Try having your kid catch it on your screen. When you're the one in the picture.
Ehhh.. sorry about that. Sometimes I forget that there are real people on the internets.
Haha! No worries. I knew the risks when I took the job.
@JasonToon speaking of taking jobs, shouldn't you have a cool M badge by your name?
Eastern half of America loves crap!
I had to buy this to justify my VMP Membership
As being apart of that eastern half, I completely agree. Bought one myself. CURSE YOU MEH.COM YOU WIN MY MONEY THIS TIME!
How about an umbrella for tomorrow's deal? The rain is meh right now.
Meh...

I've been playing Monument Valley and piping the audio into mine. It's fantastic.

@PurplePawprints I am having the same issue. Have you found a solution?
@JimCil I'm having the same issue actually, I wonder if it's intended since it's meat to be portable but I agree it's kind of annoying
@JonT I don't know what to think. In my extensive testing... of one other device (Macbook Pro), it automatically connected. Yet my iPhone automatically connects to other devices. Got mine. Love them. Surprised by the purchase. Damn you Meh... your sucking me in.
