@phendrick I was going to say either Pixy Stix or maybe some of the sour candies for similar reasons, but I think cola has more if we count it as a “snack.” Still, yes, none of them are particularly good for you in any quantity. (Why are the least healthy ones my favorites?)
I once pulled a filling out while eating cold Dots in the winter. Hmm, maybe there’s a practical use for semi-frozen Dots, like removing stripped screws or something…?
Yep, Jolly Ranchers. SWMBO lost a molar to one. She was fairly new to the US, and didn’t have a lot of experience with Jolly Ranchers.
She bit down into one, and after it had conformed to her teeth, she realized her jaw was welded together. She panicked, and tried hard and fast to open her jaw, and split the molar in half.
Unfortunately I wasn’t around to warn her. On the upside, our dentist is a wizard, and did a great job of repairing it.
My worst was an amaranth seed ball, which chipped a corner of a tooth. But far worse was that my dentist just ground the tooth down… Along with the previously undamaged toothh next to it. He didn’t tell me or ask… In fact, when I tried to get him to fix it, he tried to convince I’d just ground it down myself. Somehow. Overnight.
Anyway, when people don’t trust dentists? This shit is why.
Classic toffee, the kind that gets between your teeth so you can taste it the rest of the day.
@hchavers Well, that’s not all bad.
Sugary colas, between the sugar/HFCS and the phosphoric acid.
Bad for your whole body, not just your teeth, like candies.

[But I still drink my share, though beer would probably be better for us.]

Haribo Gummi Candy, or any gummies for that matter. Those suckers stick to your teeth like fly paper.
Broke a tooth once on popcorn kernels
What’s hard, red, and bad for your teeth?
A brick.
Jujubees. Worst shit ever.
@edguyver14 I was just gonna say this. Man, they’re good.
Candied apples.

@ircon96
I’ve done that with my fake tooth and sugar daddy’s. I don’t eat them on that side of my mouth anymore.
@Star2236 Oh, yeah, those are tough… I don’t think I’d even be able to chew them anymore, what with my ancient jaw!
I’ve broken a tooth on some almonds before.
Now and Laters. Rip a filling out asap!
Peanut brittle: I have two crowns as a result.
Jolly Ranchers. Hard as a diamond and once you get your molars sunk into one, it refuses to let go.
I’m with @edguyver14 about jujubees, but I broke a tooth on a guacamole taco at the local taco shop. One and done.
But the jujubees stick around for a while.
Chocolate Riesen. Do they still make those? Those have to be terrible for your teeth.
@moosetoga They still make them and they are great.
@moosetoga @yakkoTDI Yep, great and terrible. But more terrible for keeping my doctor happy than sticking to my teeth.
$10 for a 30oz bag at Walmart or Smiths (Kroger?), or double or triple that at Amazon.
Sugar daddy/babies but their so good
Judging from some of my clientele in the ER I’d say Meth…
Jolly Ranchers. Don’t bite down on 'em.

He also banned her from Jolly Ranchers for life.

Had to give up Runts. Broke too many teeth. Now for long drives my sugar pills come in the form of Smarties. Did you know there were 13 in each roll?
@walarney
Smarties remind me of baby aspirin.
