@tinamarie1974
my OEM parts are starting to come out of warranty! Just wear and tear from 6 Plus decades of life. Probably should get a hip replacement, but have too much s*** to do right now so it will have to wait.
@rtjhnstn Be aware that one thing which can contribute to kidney stone formation is consumption of large amounts of vitamin C. One of the metabolic products of ascorbate is oxalate, and calcium oxalate is the most common component of kidney stones. Most people get more than enough C in their normal diet, so there is seldom a reason to supplement it, and despite the common miswisdom that recommends large doses as a treatment or preventive for colds, actual testing hasn’t shown that it makes a statistically significant difference.
@2many2no I went to the doctor a few times with no doubt in my mind that i had a broken bone in my foot, in fact, was in a wheelchair for a the first week and crutches the second. To my surprise when the doctor showed me the xray with zero broken bones, he told me to lay off of all of the purine rich foods(eg: organ meats, hotdogs, and surprisingly turkey was a bad one for me) that i must be inhaling by the bucket because I was simply having a severe gout attack… OUCH!
@sicc574 The nurse at the clinic, who seems to be amused at other people’s pain, told me it was God’s revenge on men for not having babies. (There’s kind of a LSoH dentist vibe going on.)
