A word of warning to those who may buy these: they appear to have aluminum connectors. Be sure to use teflon tape when connecting to brass, iron, or other metal connectors, which are typical on houses.
Aluminum tends to set up galvanic corrosion with brass and other typical plumbing metals, which sorta welds them together. Aluminum acts as the anode and corrodes, while brass acts as the cathode, leading to leaks, white powdery buildup, and permanently seized connections.
Or better, connect, use, then immediately disconnect when finished using them. Don’t leave them connected.
@Christo196 I know how you know…my pressure washer is the same way…and so are the two valve caps on my truck that are still there…on the tires that need air.
I have yet to see one of these “shrinks down fast” hoses outside someone’s home in any state except fully extended and looking like a worm that has been on the driveway in the sun for a few hours.
Ive had pretty good luck with two different ones in use for 3 plus years. When you buy there’s junk and better. That part can be a crap shot, read and compare reviews and specs . The trick to these things is how you treat the hose. Try not to drag it across hard surfaces lift and carry it. Once you use it turn it off and let it drain place in a plastic planter or hose hanger get it off the ground. Leaving it on with full pressure for hours will ultimately cause it to fail. Good Luck.
these are pretty good for hooking up a pressure washer. i use a 25’ one in line with the normal hose. Less issues with the hose kinking as i drag the pressure washer around the yard

why do these types of hoses leak so easily
@meckmeck It’s probably a thin lining inside the hose. Just the wrong kind of kink or the wrong kind of poke and it ruptures.
@AaronLeeJohnson I shudder to imagine the right kind of kink to use this hose for!
@AaronLeeJohnson @andymand
" . . . or is that a hose in your pocket?"
Meh is attempting to hose us once again!

Spinning pocket hose into Paul Bunyan Jr was pretty clever. +1
Aluminum fittings…fuse to brass in short order.
Caveat emptor.

@dave The first button in the info box should say
“When water’s running through them, they’re 50 feet long”
But what if ChatGPT tells me to? Which one should I believe?
(Answer: Father Guido Sarducci.)
I found it $10 cheaper. Can I get the difference back?
@user04139948 where?
