Retired, so work 7 days a week, or 0 days a week, depending on your viewpoint. And I seemed to get more done around the house when I had a regular job.
This also means holidays have a lot less meaning than they used to. Meh.
I have plenty enough vacation that I could have easily taken the day off, but it would be a waste of a vacation day. At my workplace, people taking off Fridays after Thursday holidays is so widespread, I pretty much have the entire office to myself, so its almost like a “free” day off.
So I diligently went into the office today, only to discover that I was the only one foolish enough to go in. My calendar was full of PTO notifications from several co-workers, while I know others were working remotely. So I sent an email to my manager who told me to leave at noon, so I did. Yay.
worked from midnight 'til 0745 (though i actually started work at 1445 the day before)
Went home
Came back to work at 1445 til after midnight (almost left on time but the GSW changed all that…)
Yes(at home), but not getting paid!

@awk Is that you Joey?
Yup, some, a little.
Work is a relative term when you love what you get paid for much more than household chores and maintenance.

@phendrick Same. EXACTLY THE SAME. WTF is up with that??
“Working”
Always working. Never to a job.
Some work at home and some house work.
No camp for the kids, so we took off all week to visit their grandparents.

I had all sorts of stuff planned for my four-day weekend, but then my car broke, so now I’m stuck at home, napping and catching up on TV.
Smoking a brisket. Soooooo… Pretending to work.
Something about those survey responses is a bit… odd.
Bah the embed doesn’t respect the timestamp. Wasn’t the clip I was looking for anyways.
I’m a stay at home parent of two children under the age of three. Time off does not exist.
