Win a Fuku

Last October / early November (shooting was November 3rd), Pavlov's firm had the chance to consult on a project using the Phantom Flex4K High-Speed Digital Camera, a camera that we've used extensively for clients since we first got our hands on a (beta) preview copy of the camera in March of 2013, courtesy of Vision Research. This particular shoot was a ton of fun, even though it was a technical monster - and I, Pavlov (along with several of my colleagues), appear in the video. Pick me out (put the timestamp and description of who you think I am) in the comments section below and the first one to get it right wins a Fuku of questionable content (it'll be good) courtesy of your's truly. You only get one guess, make it good. If no one picks me out by Sunday, 2-15-15, I'll award the Fuku randomly so the thread will die and end the suspense. The video is a recent Vimeo Staff Pick. We're proud to have been a part of the planning and execution of the project and we thank VLB Recordings & La Planete Rouge for the opportunity.

This is a real-time performance, filmed at 1000 frames/second from a vehicle driven at a constant 50 km/h across approx. 80-90 meters - the shoot was 5 seconds (limited by the camera), yielding an approximate 3 minute, 30 second video. Obviously, there were composite elements added in post and multiple takes were stitched, but it is an amazing accomplishment - all in only four takes.

Enjoy!
