Plantar fasciitis, but having a decent pair of athletic shoes dedicated to wear in the house has helped, as the podiatrist said it would. I can’t bring myself to wear the blasted nighttime splints though. They aren’t big enough for my feet and they suck
@guyfromhawthorn Had this flare up for about a week recently. O M G! Normally, I am on my feet for about 12 hours a day. PF made me not want to sit or sleep at all because of the excruciating pain when you try to get up.
Bought two new pair of good sneakers, inserts and Crocs which I alternate. Thankfully, it has gone away.
Neuropathy associated with tendon repair for a ruptured Achilles. Of course that’s not helping my right hip any which probably needs replacement but not right now cuz I’ve got too much on my plate
RSD along with lymphedema and neuropathy due to who knows what, had pain for years before I was diagnosed with diabetes. With all the pain meds I’m taking I’m surprised I can even FEEL my feet, nevermind the pain!
@Lynnerizer Research is documenting that everyone with neuropathy who doesn’t have diabetes needs to have a glucose tolerance test (not the a1c as the other is the gold standard and the a1c is under the category of “better than nothing”) as they are finding it can be an early warning of glucose issues/later diabetes. If it is caught early enough and you get your pre-diabetes (what they are now calling glucose intolerance) under control sometimes the neuropathy goes away and it is far less likely to then include (later in the game) large fiber. Once you hit the large fiber it is permanent. Also neuropathy can screw up your digestive system due to slowing everything down so have someone keep an eye on that. Speaking from experience here. Oh and if they do a sural nerve biopsy (for large fiber - I have axonal, they do punch biopsies which are no big deal for small fiber which I also have) insist on a reconstruction of the nerve. Lots of people aren’t keeping up and don’t do that. Mine was done by someone who repairs children’s facial nerves. With the reconstruction I started getting some of the feeling back in what that nerve innervates.
From treading on the bones of my enemies.
Well most of them don’t have bones.
So maybe treading on the exoskeletons of my enemies. Just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
@Kidsandliz Fortunately not that particular variety of exoskeletons, so I guess I shouldn’t complain. It just seems to be the type of year favorable to the type of exoskeletons that are small and partial to the taste of blood. Especially mine.
@ThunderChicken
That sucks! Back " in the day" it used to be known as the disease of kings, because only the Royals could afford the things that were prone to give people gout. Things like alcohol, aged cheese,organ meats and certain fruits and veggies will flare it up in a heartbeat…
@chienfou Yup. My life aboard cruise ships caught up with me. I was doing pretty well with my food diet, but alcohol was my downfall. Fortunately, wine gets a pass.
29 years ago I fell off a roof and shattered my left heel. I still have a metal plate and 5 screws in there. Usually some combination of over stressing it (e.g., standing on a ladder) and the weather causes it to hurt. Surprisingly, given my age, most of the time it does not bother me as much as I would expect.
They don’t hurt!!
My feet don’t hurt right now, am I doing something wrong?
@awk Yes. Go stand on a lego.
marcellus wallace broke them
@spacemart Don’t worry, Zed took care of him. Just be grateful Annie Wilkes didn’t get ahold of you!
Edema.
Non diabetic peripheral neuropathy…
Fucking sucks 24/7
I weigh too much?
@haydesigner
It’s that damn gravity!
@chienfou @haydesigner Yeah, gravity!

The dog stepped on them, and her nails are way long
@st_ellis I feel ya, i call my dog’s nails her talons.
Bad shoes; but replacements are coming tomorrow!
They don’t. They are actually happy because I took them bicycling earlier.
The coals were fine until I saw the pole question.

Gout.

My feet feel pretty good right now, thanks for asking. Pumas, plus walking the puppies is good for my feet.

Legos
I’m transitioning to Xero Shoes, and my feet aren’t used to them. So my right foot hurts.
They are new and not quite broken in yet.
@rockblossom What? Your feet or your shoes?
@Kidsandliz Feet, of course! (Old expression to excuse clumsiness: "Sorry! First day with the new feet!)
