@ybmuG grey reminds me of the 2000/2010 decades where people all just copied each other with no imagination painting everything grey and buying all gre everything.
I’m so glad the boring grey decades have passed and people like colour again.
@ybmuG lol… Indeed… Greige was only marginally better than grey. The only good thing is, people didn’t accessories their houses with more greige things. I knew some people whose houses would walk in, the carpet was grey, the walls were grey, the sofas were grey, the decorations were grey. I imagine it would be like living in a rain cloud. Greige people just tended to have a bunch of old fashioned things and places you couldn’t sit because they were decoration only
@OnionSoup@ybmuG The upholstery in my car is greige (just the seats, headliner and parts of the door panels). I much prefer it to the alternative, which was black. Much cooler in sunny weather, and all the kids are grown and out, so little chance of stains.
@Kyeh@macromeh@ybmuG I had not seen black houses until recently. House down the street going up was black, thought it had to be just an undercoat or protective layer…
Nope, that’s what they wanted. Looks a little odd to me. Since seen a couple more black houses.
What seems to be trendy at the moment (not sure if it will age well). Dark blue houses. Seen several of those go up and they look nice, with white trim. Could be the kind of thing though in 20 years people say “eewww that’s so 20’s” but, I must say, of the non traditional trendy colours of the moment that’s my favourite.
I’m not going to purchase one right now but I totally wouldn’t mind having one. I just have enough mugs already really. But if I needed a mug, this looks like a fine one to have.
@djslack I wasn’t going to pay all that money for mugs. But half price for one? I bought it mostly to see what’s in the bottom since not one person posted a photo.
I definitely want one, but I think $12 for a novelty mug is juuuussst over the threshold. I already have enough mugs, and I already have plenty of meh merch. Maybe if I was a meh-mber and didn’t have to pay shipping…
@TheFLP What continues to greatly annoy me is the use of light grey (or very light anything) on white, which becomes utterly invisible on laptop screens. That has caused me to be unable to log in to way too many things over the past few years because the ultralight grey box and the text stating what needed to be entered vanished into the white background. And that’s not the only point of failure. Give me CONTRAST, dammit!
@TheFLP remember the overused marquee tag on webpages from the 90s … The scrolling text that was slow and hard to read and made web pages look busy messes.
@ExtraMedium as an employee they should just give them to you!!
Would be more tempting if not grey. Any color but grey.
@OnionSoup I know, right? Grey is so meh!
Wait…
@OnionSoup @ybmuG
I like the grey and orange color combo.
@OnionSoup @Star2236 @ybmuG
I think that color combo is beyond ugly, nor would I chose either alone. I’d imagine meh is gambling we’d buy anyway due to, well “meh”.

@OnionSoup remember greige?

@macromeh @OnionSoup @ybmuG
Now if only people would stop painting the exterior of their houses black. I hate that.
@OnionSoup @ybmuG
Nope.

@Kyeh @macromeh @OnionSoup @ybmuG
I haven’t seen black house, must not be a thing up here or I don’t pay attention. I’m gonna start trying to find one.
@macromeh @OnionSoup @Star2236 @ybmuG This used to be a light sage green, with white trim.
Picture from Google earth.
@Kyeh @macromeh @Star2236 @ybmuG searching the picture for a disembodied hand scurrying along the ground, or maybe a shot of Cousin It.
I would…errrrrrr…I mean did.
I want a couple but not at that price. I don’t care about the color.

There may be a surprise at the bottom!
@sammydog01 half price? Or just because it’s one and not two?
@djslack One and not two. Plus 10% off because I’ve thrown away money on VMP for ten years.
@djslack I am curious what the surprise is, although not curious enough to spend that much.
I’m assuming there is a message printed on the bottom.
@djslack @sammydog01 If it’s a picture of Irk I might buy one (but it’s probably a Meh face )
@OnionSoup a message on the outside bottom should say “If you can read this, you’re gonna need more coffee, and maybe a towel”
@djslack @OnionSoup On the inside, I want one that says “Are you sure that was coffee?”
@djslack @OnionSoup @werehatrack “I spit in your mug.”
I was hoping for meh merch in my last irk
@Star2236 yes. I was honestly slightly disappointed… (Although I wouldnt say regretful) That there was no mehchandise.
I have as many mugs as I need, plus extras. I will leave the joy of acquisition to others.
@werehatrack we’ve recently gotten rid of about 10, so I think we’re now down to under 30…
I definitely want one, but I think $12 for a novelty mug is juuuussst over the threshold. I already have enough mugs, and I already have plenty of meh merch. Maybe if I was a meh-mber and didn’t have to pay shipping…
@Willijs3 But you are one.
@Kyeh Fuck, I forgot to cancel that.
A 16 oz mug would be nice to have. But I can’t get over the color scheme. Orange on the inside is OK. Orange on gray is … beyond meh.
It takes me back to the days when web pages were always gray, and people did unthinkable things with the fonts. <shudder>
@TheFLP <blink>

@OnionSoup I was afraid to mention that one, for fear someone tries to revive it.
I prefer my own coffee mug
@carl669
Now that one I would defiantly buy
