@hammi99 How can that be when they don’t have Child of Glass, The Watcher in the Woods or Something Wicked This Way Comes yet? Let alone all the Dean Jones movies I would totally watch for no good reason. Or do they have them all now?
@Evansdoor
$6/month is overpriced? It has a lot of quality films, but unless you’re into all the major categories, I can see how it can be kinda overpriced.
@DVDBZN@Evansdoor Disney+ is reasonable for a month or two to see things you can’t see anywhere else because they force you too… And then you find stuff cause you have it. But you also can’t see everything which is super annoying. And it’s not like they really add new content at this point. A movie and a series here and there.
If I had kids I’d keep it. Other wise we’ve seen it all. Def a better option than their shitty vault
@kittykat9180 lol. I know. I’m just antisportsball and I find it a little funny that they they put such a low value on it. Before all sports were cancelled/they were making up bubbles to play in/short seasons etc. So now…

The Cleveland Indians are about to play at the Pittsburgh Pirates. Starts a little after seven eastern time. And if I heard correctly, there will be no fans in the stands, and they’re going to play pre-recorded audience sounds to match the game, similar to a laugh-track. It could be entertaining.

Smithsonian (I connect through Shield device), tons of great documentaries. The quick 5-minute or less video snippets that complement the full ones are enjoyable and convenient.
I have Hulu, Netflix (free with T-Mobile) and Disney+ (Free with Verizon FiOs) and my experience is that I watch Hulu much more often than anything else but that’s because I like to watch TV shows rather than movies and I find that Hulu having network shows is more appealing to me than Netflix originals.
That being said, if I’m watching a movie it’s usually on Netflix unless I want to watch a Disney movie
Netflix is my favorite streaming service, but for movies it is a little lacking. Prime has just about anything you might want, but it won’t all be include with your monthly fee.
It’s really tough to beat HBO max for movies, but Hulu and Prime have the best series. I think I keep Netflix just cause I finally got my categories right.
@Cerridwyn I admit to watching TOS in the remastered version just for the cheesy sets. I love it when someone brushes one of the bulkheads or a rockpile on some planet, and they wiggle. I also notice that many of Kirk’s shirts are a bit frayed around the collar and top seams. I guess his female yeomen weren’t too fond of him or they would have replicated new shirts. I don’t blame them. If I had to work for him I would have poisoned his food.
Criterion channel if you are only concerned with films. I have hbomax right now and paused Netflix. It is worth it to me since I got $30 gift cards for HBO now for $20 a while back. I miss FilmStruck
Disney Plus

Disney+
Pornhub
@cinoclav Uh…
Shouldn’t a movie last longer than that?
@2many2no @cinoclav Probably the actor didn’t take Viagra so it was a longer movie.
@cinoclav @Kidsandliz That’s just an optical illusion caused by the camera angle…
In my order:

For $13 you get Disney, Hulu, and ESPN.
@kittykat9180 you say that like ESPN has any sort of value.
@unksol, for some people it may.

Plex/emby…
Plex with PlexPass (or lifetime).
Because of the channels and DVR integration (you supply the tuner, e.g. HDHomerun)
I have only tried YouTube’s free version so they win.
Movies are terrible lately! I mainly use Plex for movies I download myself.

Kanopy. The correct answer is Kanopy. And there’s a good chance your library offers it for free.
@Jconrad There is also Hoopla, and it is also available for free through many local libraries.
@mike808 True, but it doesn’t compare for content quality.

@MrMikenIkes I don’t get free Netflix with T-Mobile. Is my account too cheap?
@katbyter you need to have a “Magenta” family plan in order to get it. Single lines won’t qualify
Disney +
Popcornflix.com and Crackle.com and PlutoTV.com.

For Science Fiction fans, watchdust.com is a gem.
@mike808 Interesting. Know if they’ve got anything to do with https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3046008/?
I backed that on Kickstarter in… 2014. Never actually watched it, apparently. Guess I lost track by the time they were done (2016 or so).
@mike808
sounds interesting

It’s all about Star Trek

@OnionSoup is definitely to blame.
