@Ignorant Yes, I much preferred that price. While I like the new added channels (Discovery, etc.) I don’t feel that they are worth the added $15. At some point I’ll probably get tempted away to one of the other live-tv streamers.
@mfladd Have you watched the second season of The OA yet? I haven’t had a chance so no spoilers. Just want to know if it’s worth it. Season 1was so good if season 2 sucks, I’ll just not watch it.
@mfladd@RiotDemon I’ve been waiting and waiting for this new season but it took so long that I may have to rewatch season 1 before I watch the new one. It’s getting to the time where I’ll have plenty of time to binge other shows since all the regular shows are going off for the season. My new obsession right now is Cloak and Dagger, not sure why but I am really enjoying it.
I’ve been using my friends mom’s Netflix for 5 years. They moved, so if I clear my cookies I’m screwed.
(She’s cool with me using it, I’m not leeching without permission or anything)
The way they all shuffle their “free” movies, if you wait long enough, the one you want to watch will come to your movie vehicle of choice so any of them are as good as another. That said, we have netflix and prime.
@tinamarie1974 It lets you stream content from your own server (or content your friends have) from anywhere. I use it every day to stream my music collection while commuting to work, and almost every day to watch TV and movies.
i picked netflix but i’d rather live without streaming services before living without regular tv/cable. we watch live tv, shows we have on plex, and twitch more than netflix/prime/hulu/etc combined. we have prime but i rarely watch anything on it (except house which i’m pumped is back after netflix dumped it). we also pay for CBS’s streaming thing when star trek airs.
I oscillate around Plex, Netflix, Emby… occasionally watch Prime. Have some kind of as-yet inactivated Hulu account that came with Spotify.
If they all vanished overnight, I’d probably fill the space with some mixture of reading, sleep, indie videogames, and hobbies, and be happier as a result.
crunchyroll!
@clonetek Me too. Lately I noticed I watch more Crunchyroll and YouTube than Netflix.
@clonetek @tinsami1 I picked Prime because of the music, but I do like some GTO.
@clonetek Dafuq is crunchyroll??
@clonetek @shahnm anime.
@shahnm www.crunchyroll.com
@2many2no @clonetek @tinsami1 GTO? I thought that was some kind of hot rod
@moonhat https://www.crunchyroll.com/gto-the-animation
@clonetek ohhhhh
@clonetek @moonhat @tinsami1 Great Teacher Onizuka. Really funny, but don’t watch it with your kids.
I don’t subscribe to any so, None.
I could easily live without any of them! Go me!
None of them?
Jesus. How did people using two or even three times as many words beat me to it?
Oh, right. The Goat.
Aka me.

PBS? Does that count?
Youtube TV
@WaltC was harder to live without at $35
@Ignorant Yes, I much preferred that price. While I like the new added channels (Discovery, etc.) I don’t feel that they are worth the added $15. At some point I’ll probably get tempted away to one of the other live-tv streamers.
My life would go on largely unchanged without streaming services. I guess I’m old…
<sarcasm>
What’s a streaming service?
@Cerridwyn

None.

I could live without any of them, but the other stuff with prime means I won’t be dropping it any time soon.
@simplersimon For us, it is the other way around.
Gravity.
YouTube
I cannot live without the streaming service provided by my urethra.
@Evansdoor Isn’t it called IPFreely???
@Evansdoor Dialysis - don’t just do it to live, do it for fun!
I can live off of Netflix!
@mfladd Have you watched the second season of The OA yet? I haven’t had a chance so no spoilers. Just want to know if it’s worth it. Season 1was so good if season 2 sucks, I’ll just not watch it.
@mehbee @mfladd I did. My coworker absolutely loved it. I have mixed feelings. I also had mixed feelings about the end of season 1.
@mfladd @RiotDemon I’ve been waiting and waiting for this new season but it took so long that I may have to rewatch season 1 before I watch the new one. @mehbee @RiotDemon Oh Yea! I haven’t even gotten to season 1 yet. Netflix is a geekers paradise!
@mfladd @RiotDemon It is that…did y’all watch the Big Bang Theory’s Finale last night?? It was so good.
@mehbee @mfladd wasn’t into big bang. I’ve only watched a few episodes.
@mehbee @RiotDemon I am still a season behind on Big Bang too. I am skipping all over the place with my viewing.
@mfladd @RiotDemon That happens to me all the time I hate it.
@mfladd @RiotDemon I love it
@mfladd @RiotDemon I binged season 1 of The OA and am about half way through season 2. Still loving it.
HBO go
Consciousness.
@mike808 You never know what you’re going to get, it just goes where it goes.
BBC iPlayer (NORDVPN is Great)
@rcgrams How do you bypass the TV license code requirement?
I’ve been using my friends mom’s Netflix for 5 years. They moved, so if I clear my cookies I’m screwed.

Could live without any of them but Prime serves other purposes that make it more useful than the others.
HBO…have to have my weekly dose of John Oliver & Bill Maher

I keep forgetting you can watch movies on Prime. That’ll change when “Good Omens” drops, though.
Netflix. Also Prime.
Field and Stream.
Crunchyroll!
I loves me some Youtube
Spotify
My Plex server.
@BumbleCrap what is Plex?
@tinamarie1974 It lets you stream content from your own server (or content your friends have) from anywhere. I use it every day to stream my music collection while commuting to work, and almost every day to watch TV and movies.
I could get by without any of them, but if I have to pick one, Hulu.
All of the above.
While I have all of them, my first choice in entertainment is my Plex Server (and the NZB repository that fills it).
i picked netflix but i’d rather live without streaming services before living without regular tv/cable. we watch live tv, shows we have on plex, and twitch more than netflix/prime/hulu/etc combined. we have prime but i rarely watch anything on it (except house which i’m pumped is back after netflix dumped it). we also pay for CBS’s streaming thing when star trek airs.
For me it varies between Prime, Hulu and Netflix. I tend to binge a show at a time so it just depends on where I find something interesting.
I really need all three for different reasons. We also have to have HBO and my handsome associate must have WWE network

Just bought a Fire TV Recast - so we’re going to TRY living without Netflix! More on this at some later date…
I have them all. If I lost all of them at the same time, my reaction would be “meh.”
Disney’s as of yet unreleased streaming!! Just canceled NetFlix, Prime has limited selection, never tried Hulu.
Shudder. Gotta get my schlock horror fix.
