When I was stationed at Hill AFB, Utah in the early 90s a radio station was reequipping their studio and played Louie Louie on repeat all weekend long. It was pretty awesome at the time but I don’t think it would work again.
I have to add: I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay. Ain’t it sad. And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me.
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man’s world
Surprised there weren’t any ABBA options, they had more of these titles than any other major artist: “Gimme Gimme Gimme”, “Money Money Money”, “Ring Ring”, “Honey Honey”, and of course “I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do”.
So many great ones, and the options given were so bad.
Please, Please (James Brown)
Boom Boom (John Lee Hooker)
Woman, Woman (Union Gap)
Jenny, Jenny (Little Richard)
to name a few more that weren’t on the list
@PocketBrain I was going to vote for “Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie” because, well, Black Flag. But I have to admit “Da da da” is more of an earworm. Ich lieb’ dich nicht du liebst mich nicht
Of course then, mad respect for The Pogues and their badger teeth.
Well @vanslaterco 's intro to his post reminded me of this gem I remember hearing on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation all the time last year or the year before. And it’s a doubler!
Sorry I don’t have time to listen to all this.
When Black Flag is an option in a poll, the answer is almost always Black Flag.
@hems79 Except when the answer is NWA. I would vote for both if I could.
cough cough once again
"Dance Dance Dance Dance Dance to the Radio" by MOTO
@vanslaterco I clicked on your YouTube video. You sir, owe me 15 seconds.
@elimanningface not a MOTO fan, eh?
@vanslaterco I don’t know about MOTO but the song above, I’m definitely not a fan.

Remember getting records on the back of cereal boxes? I’m pretty sure we had a copy of Yummy, Yummy, Yummy because of some sugary breakfast food.
@pitamuffin I remember!!
So, sure, this one came out the year I was born, but how do you ignore Sugar, Sugar by The Archies?
@AuntEah I’m gonna with the reason that it is by the Archies, so not worth throwing on the poll.

/youtube no no no yeah yeah yeahs
And yes, someone had to do it. Man, JT had a bad 'fro back then.
@AuntEah Bye, Bye, Bye was a good song! No shame in admitting it.
I had a couple others come to mind, but this is the one I was most surprised to see missing.
Public Image Ltd. - This is Not a Love Song
I went with Louie Louie even though it’s not that great because the rest all sound like shit and I’m not going to bother listening to them.
no no no no?
The Human Beinz - Nobody But Me
@f00l the title isn’t repetitive though.
You have all failed each other.
/youtube David Bowie - Rebel Rebel
@theredia Right? I was just wondering how this hadn’t made the list.
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah" by the Pogues definitely continues the spinny incite nausea theme.
Seriously? Nobody mentioned this one by the Byrds?
Kids. SMH.
You’d be hard pressed to beat this one for lasting quality and relevance.
(But More More More is close to the platonic ideal of a disco song.)

Bo Burnham - Repeat Stuff
@melwin One of my all-time favorites.
How did we escape Mony Mony?
What’s the chorus? “Get paid, buy trucks!” Something like that.
So many great ones, and the options given were so bad.
