I want a flexsteel, or similarly durable couch. Ideally, I’d like to find somewhere that will take our old couch back to hell with them, bonus points if they have a good memorial day sale.
Bought mine in the parking lot of the baptist church on the corner. Had tons of couches standing on their side and some strange folks selling. We were only looking for a couch to last us about two years though.
In STL there is a company/charity that places unwanted furniture in good condition. Plenty of folks (homeless, vets, often families, too) finally get a place and need furniture that often isn’t in their budget after finally getting placed.
Thank you for donating your gently-used furniture and household goods and giving the chance to furnish a home for someone in need! Every year we redistribute thousands of furniture items and household goods to the formerly unhoused, women and children escaping abusive situations, and those living in poverty in St. Louis and St. Louis County. I gave them all my kids Cardinals caps and jackets (World Series, pennant race caps, etc) and player jerseys (some are HOFers now). Now that my kids are grown up, I’m sure some other little kid getting legit Cards swag was a big deal.
I know a store in STL that will do just that, but I don’t think that will help
@tinamarie1974 probably not
I’m in Jersey

@mike808 where is that? I always let Carol House take mine, but maybe there is a better option
@tinamarie1974
Habitat ReStore will take furniture.
My pick is this charity:

@mike808 oh that sounds lovely, making a note. Thanks
@tinamarie1974 For clothes (especially kids clothes) my pick is: https://thelittlebitfoundation.org/

@mike808 thanks. I’ve always done St Vincent’s. I need to mix it up a bit and these look like two great options.

@mike808 this is a great idea! Thanks!
I’d shop at the better Carolina furniture manufacturers. Check to see who carries their lines near you.
