@PooltoyWolf Yeah, the whole “mobile” (phone) gaming thing never did it for me. But I’ve traveled with almost every portable game system over the years. I think original Gameboy was the first. Then DS and 3DS, but Switch has been the main thing for a few years, so I haven’t picked up a DS/3DS in a while.
Special merit to the PSP and Vita which were amazing for the time but like many Sony products, didn’t follow through on the potential, at least in the US market.
@pmarin Me too, heh! Some mobile games are fun, but I just don’t consider them to be in the same category as actual video games, and they’ve never been able to hold my attention like console games do. I own at least one example of every Nintendo console, excluding the ‘XL’ variants of the DS handhelds. I have many memories of playing the different handhelds on long car and plane rides, and of getting new models for Christmases and birthdays. I grew up with Nintendo’s characters and still play their games all the time ^.^
On the 3DS note, I’m sad StreetPass is dying off. I used to get them all the time, but these days I don’t get any tags at all…I was at Maker Faire Orlando this weekend, arguably one of the best places for StreetPass tags, but I got exactly one. I mean, I get why (Switch being prevalent now, Nintendo killing off 3DS services), but it’s still sad to see it go. I miss playing the StreetPass games with other people.

Yahtzee dice. If the noise is a problem, I play one of the many solitaire games on my phone.
@werehatrack I’m more of a Kismet guy, just slightly more fun/challenging IMO. Also a lot more old school.
