@currawong NH resident here. LOVE this New England weather. Used to live in Lubbock, TX where it was just freakin’ hot (and a dry hot). Although… we once had snow on Wed and were flingin’ snowballs at each other in the early morning hours of Thu while in shorts and in 80 degree weather. That was kinda trippy.
@currawong yep - in the 50s in boston today. and i am loving it. spring is largely a myth we get to enjoy for about 3-5 non-sequential days. but i’ll take 50s over summer weather any day. (i would feel differently if i were still a kid spending every day at my grandparent’s saltbox down in RI, but alas.)
Tomorrow will be 94. Having a plumber out to turn on my evaporative cooler in the morning. Right now it’s 11pm and 84.7 in the living room. Humidity’s really high.
@msklzannie yeah, we usually run about 10%. Most of the time it’s under 5% in the house unless I’m running the swamp cooler. I was suprised to see it was that high, we’ve had cloudless skies for several days and it’s been about a month since it rained.
@moondrake
Are you nuts? TWENTY-THREE PERCENT?
I’d KILL for 23%! [IF I could get for killing?]
It’s 65% here, the temp is 89°, I can’t keep the indoor humidity below 60%, AND it’s supposed to get hotter & wetter, too.
Right now, the heat index is 99°, it’s supposed to rain again today, & the next 2 days.
Hey, are you BRAGGING?
@Sl0J0nMehson yeah, yesterday, here in NW Buckeyeland, it was in the mid 70’s, with 96% Humidity.
even inside the gas stations, all the cooler doors fogged over the minute someone opened them.
@Sl0J0nMehson Yes and no. I summered in rural Alabama every year as a kid in farm homes with no cooling, I remember how insufferable the heat was with the humidity. The heat here is a lot more tolerable with the low humidity. But there are downsides. No matter how much chapstick, lotion and conditioner I use my lips are always chapped, my skin is always thirsty, my hair is always brittle and split. There are other downsides having to do with rapid degradation of plastics and leather as well. It’s all a trade off.
How can you vote when the question asks what the high is today where you live? Since it is 0137 hours and although it is today the day hasn’t actually started. Do you mean today for the people who get it before us? Because they could vote correctly. But now it makes no since to us pathetic eastern time people who are up this late just to see what’s on the site? I want the ability to push more than one button since right now it’s 60* but at 0700 it’ll be 52* and if we’re lucky it might get to 68* which usually is 65*. So do I hit the 51-60 or the 61-70? I don’t like this one. Can we have a different poll?
/image confused
@RiotDemon yeah, should have said “forecasted high,” i suppose. (not the OP and that’s what i went with. although the last time i relied on that it ended up being 15 degrees warmer than forecasted and made switching my work days so i could be home when it was f’n hot totally futile. gross.)
Today the temperature is Celsius, I am hoping for Fahrenheit tomorrow. What does Kelvin feel like? When I was a kid we had Centigrade, it was really cool.
What is that in celsius?
@curtise It was a trick question: it was in Celsius so almost everyone should have answered “0-40”.
70 today, but only 55 tomorrow. It was 93 on Thursday. Springtime in New England~

99° in Freedom Units today
@moondrake Where I live 23% humidity is pretty dry. It’s currently 88% humidity.

@msklzannie yep, 86% here, but the dew point is only 47 so it’s nice and cool and dry…feeling.

It was 90+ for the past couple days. At 10pm right now, it’s still 70+.
@narfcake it’s after 1am and it’s still 77℉. (feels like 87°)
@RiotDemon @narfcake
If I wasn’t distracted right now, I’d be mentally glaring at both of you.
@PlacidPenguin why would you be glaring? The weather sucks. I got a sunburn in my backyard in the shade yesterday.
It was 87° today but felt like 98°. This week is going to be in the 90s so I’m assuming it’ll feel like 100°+.
I seriously need to move to a state where I can wear jackets and hoodies all the time. One without blizzards preferably.
I live in a house, and in here it’s been below 73℉ all day, and that’s all the information I have.

@WTFsunshine the weather forecast tells you what the high will be.

@RiotDemon I know…I did put the forecast in at the end…I was just screwing around with the question.
Our annual spring blizzard is coming. I can feel it. Also, the sudden cold snap and coming cloud front support what I feel.

That was everything I wanted it to be
Cooler air this week in LA (Lower Alabama) Florida Panhandle. 83° Frankenstein, 97% Hominy.

@harrison
Thanks for reminding me that I have to do another process of names…
Projected high is mid-80s today. Down from yesterday a bit.
Late May
Highs range from 70’s thru low 90’s.
Humidity 60-80%
Lots of storm warnings. Decent conditions for tornado formation.
So normal. At least it’s not over 100, as it is during some years pre-Memorial Day.
Today the temperature is Celsius, I am hoping for Fahrenheit tomorrow. What does Kelvin feel like? When I was a kid we had Centigrade, it was really cool.
96° here (Oregon). Hopefully cooler in the next few days.
