I started with an account that’s not there anymore, a guy who posted fascinating photos and random works of art, then added Amy Sedaris because she’s hilarious, and Peewee Herman had an account; and then all the cats being cats, and various people drawing, painting, dancing - I just scroll through and suddenly realize half the day (or night) has gone by! I only follow a few people I actually know, most are strangers.

Trying not to go down the rabbit hole is why I don’t use any of those “services”. I have a hard enough time keeping up with people I know/like in real time face to face.
It pisses me off every time I try to get restaurant/bar information and find out all they have is a Facebook page with tons of pictures people posted but no pertinent details such as address, phone number, menu, hours of operation, is there a band, etc
@chienfou@pakopako Yes, the facebook-only ads make me avoid a place, often. What makes me madder though is how city and state entities like the local Office of Emergency Management only post notices on Xitter!
