Like the adage of when is the best time to prune your trees? Whenever you have a sharp knife in your hand.
Because if you wait for the “right” time, it’s extremely likely it’ll slip past because of one inconvenience or another. (Or simply forgetting about it.)
So if you’re employed, take a break whenever your employer let’s you. If you’re retired, well, do whatever you want whenever you can afford it. And if you’re not retired but not employed, well… I’m still trying to figure that one out, so good luck.
I travel all year long to all kids of places. I went to Canada and Northern US earlier this fall to peep the leaves but I also spent 6 weeks in Ireland and UK in June and July. I go to San Diego every March and I’m heading there again for a few weeks at the end of this month. In late January I am going to Finland. I’ve been to Alaska and Yukon in the fall. France in the fall. Balkans in early summer. The list goes on.
My main goal is usually to go to any destination during non-peak times. I hate crowds.
I’m looking for somewhere budget friendly to go this winter that’s warm and has nice blue water and pretty sand. Also would like it to have snorkeling/scuba diving, good food and possible all inclusive. I was kinda thinking South America or Caribbean somewhere. Not really Mexico. Any suggestions?
vacation?
It depends on where you’re going
@Kyeh exactly and then at least just slightly off season

Whenever you have the cold hard cash…
@2many2no Except for political junkets, which are often funded with soft money.
@2many2no I so agree!
Any time you can manage it.
