What to do in Palm Springs?

ConAndLibrarian thought this was worth mentioning said Mon, Aug 13th 2018 at 2:46pm ET

I am taking a few days off and driving to Palm Springs (Palm Desert to be specific) for a few days. It has been at least twenty years since I have been there. Anyone have any tips for fun?

BTW, I know it will be crazy hot, that is why I was able to get a nice suite for under $100,

Wanna escape the heat? Take the tram to the top of Mt. San Jacinto…or go to Wet ‘n’ Wild (just $20 Tuesdays or Thursdays if you buy online).

Like zoos? Go to the Living Desert.

Like beer? There are three good breweries in the area: La Quinta Brewing Co., Babe’s BBQ and Brewhouse, and Coachella Valley Brewing Co.

Like gambling? There’s like half a dozen casinos in the area.

But yeah, you’re mostly gonna want to stay inside with the air conditioning on.

Well, you could obviously look at the palms or go relax in the springs. Or I guess you could use your palm in the springs. But that’s kind of nasty.

Take the lift up to the top of the mountain! It’s worth every penny. It’s cool up there, you can hike, and there is a restaurant.
