Depends on what shift I’m working that day.
Could be 10am, 2pm, 5pm… If I don’t eat after work, is my lunch considered dinner instead? Or is the glass of milk I drank after work considered my dinner?
Anywhere from 1-3. Noon is our busiest time, so we need all hands on deck.
My coworker disagrees, and takes her lunch at the height of the chaos. She also likes to take it right in the middle of everything, so the one time when we really need her, she is “on lunch” and is not to be bothered.
I’m a teacher. Our assigned lunch periods are sprinkled throughout the day. Mine is 10:30, so I eat then. There are other teachers whose lunches are 8:10 AM or 2:45 PM so a lot of them tend to scarf down lunch in front of their students closer to midday. At least by law I am afforded a 30-minute duty-free lunch. This was not always the case and I feel sorry for those who had to eat their lunches while watching a cafeteria or while on recess duty, etc.
@djanlp That’s nuts that some teachers and students have their “midday meal” at 8:15 AM. But hey, the kids probably don’t get any exercise anyway, so why do they need nutrition? Grrr.
Bravo to teachers for their sacrifices!
@dhaver1 Oh, also, we have a new lunch program this year that seems pretty good. Unlimited fresh fruits and veggies. So they are getting nutritious meals!
3-3:45pm. Because I don’t go into work until 11:45am, (I usually eat breakfast around then too), then dinner ends up about 8 or 9 pm, depending if I’m just heating up leftovers or cooking.

Don’t eat lunch, don’t eat breakfast. Usually it’s just one dinner around 4pm-7pm, then some snacks, if need arises. From 7am to 4pm I only drink coffee, lots of coffee.
I try to have lunch at 1, but sometimes if I am hungryz I go at 12:30. And I hate it when I go out with co-workers because they all insist that 11:00 am is lunch time. It’s still morning people! My breakfast is still rumbling around somewhere in my stomach!

I don’t eat lunch.
@Pony me neither. I’m an hourly employee so if I skip lunch, I get to go home earlier.
Usually around 3 AM.

I believe all polls should have a None of the Above option.

God, I sound whiney.

@conandlibrarian
Not whiny. Your co-workers sounds like “privileged”. This needs to be worked out so “fair to all”.

@dhaver1 Only the teachers have their lunches at weird hours. The students are usually 11-1ish.

Some time between 9 AM and 5 PM, generally. It all depends on what time I go to work.
8.30a-5.30p workday, and I feel like the day really bogs down if ‘lunch’ happens before the day is half over. So, 1p or later it is…
“Lunch”? Is that like depending on where you live it’s either “dinner” or “supper”? We don’t say “lunch”; we say “breakfast”.
@surfeit “Lunch” in your case would be second breakfast.
Corporate mandated lunchtime is 11:30 - 12:00.

@serpent That explains a lot…
About 4:30 am. Of course my work day starts at 11 pm…
Sometime around midnight since I work 6pm - 7:30am. God, it sucks.
Why no love for the late shifters, meh??
I work swing shift, so my lunch is around early dinner time for most folks.
Work overnights, so my lunch is around 3am.

I normally try for 11, but my customers are on the opposite coast, so it varies from 11 to 1 pm.

I rarely eat lunch. It’s usually just breakfast and dinner.
Depends on what time I get out of bed
I eat A lunch at school 10:20-10:50 AM
I normally have lunch at around 3pm, but then I don’t have breakfast so technically I’m starving myself until mid afternoon…
