@Kidsandliz yup… the cats! they’re eating the mice! they’re eating the birds!
actually years ago when my guy was still around, and at the vet (cats-only clinic run by a group of ladies) we were talking about soft food vs hard dry food. both can be fine; it’s largely up to the cat. and the vet reminded me « mice can be crunchy too »
@pmarin As far as other protein mine also eat small green lizards and cricket heads. Apparently cockroaches tastes bad which is unfortunate (although not unfortunate for the roaches although they eventually get killed when used as toys as do moths, flies, etc.). They each have tried one and puked it up. As mine are indoor only they only kill their own protein if it happens to get inside (I do rescue mice and release them across the street in a section of dense trees that belongs to a hosptial).
@Kidsandliz@kittykat9180@Kyeh Actually yes! They had real compressors and were legit little fridges. I used mine for years - it was still working when I needed to mothball it.
On a more serious note, if you could find a stash of the Protein Power 30g shakes in peach or strawberry, both of which have neen unavailable locally for more than a year, I’d buy some.
@Kidsandliz That’s what the Mantids keep telling the hoppers: “Go ahead and finish your drink 'cause I’ll be a while.” That’s why insect bars don’t have many repeat customers. Except for mantids, who always say: “Barkeep, I think I’ll have a grasshopper!” They both laugh because it’s a joke that never gets old.
How about making another site to sell vintage food items only? I’m really tired of all the foodstuffs taking up valuable speaker dock and pocket knife space.
You sold this random ass Burnt Marshmallow protein powder yearsssss ago for really cheap. So cheap I bought 2 of them…and thye were great! Lasted forever
Trunk contents?
Protein speaker docks. And maybe some protein candy corn for Halloween.

Umm… Protein breakfast octopus?
@shahnm Good Idea.
Protein folding knives
Americans mostly eat way more protein than they need!
https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/24049505/protein-intake-fiber-plant-based-vegetarian-vegan-meat
@Kyeh the good thing about bean snacks is that they have both protein and fiber
Didn’t someone here need a protein modem?
@pakopako that would be me. And I need a vegetable router to go either it for a balanced ~~internet experience!! diet.
Protein fidget spinners
Protein power banks
@hchavers that’s what I was thinking. only 1A output. likely near-failing internal battery.
safety note: do not actually eat or lick (yech) a power bank, failing or not.
Soylent Green
@robson chase that down with some electrolytes. it’s what plants crave!
Meat puppets
@Kyeh some things will never change.
And then there is the protein that cats catch (and I am not talking about when they steal our protein from our dinner plates).

Leak Frogs are protein, right?
/image Leak Frog
@katbyter brings back memories…
Steak?
Goats are high in protein, aren’t they?
@heartny,
@lonocat you might need some extra security. May I suggest a guard Llama.
@heartny @lonocat @pmarin based on his icon he is already dead. I don’t think ghost goats are protein.
@heartny @Kidsandliz @pmarin
/showme a Llama guarding a dead goat
@mediocrebot when do Llamas have horns?
@lonocat @mediocrebot I think those are supposed to be it’s ears.
200 protein batteries
@kittykat9180 You’d need a fridge for that according to @shahnm
@Kidsandliz @shahnm, I think I have one of those. I believe I keep it in the kitchen.
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 But is it not already full (as it should be) of non-protein batteries??!?
@Kidsandliz @shahnm, not yet. That’s why meh should sell them, so I can stock up.
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 Meh did once sell small fridges. I bought one. I know – what a surprise…!
https://meh.com/forum/topics/nostalgia-electrics-retro-series-dispensing-refrigerator
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @shahnm Were they any good?!!
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @Kyeh Actually yes! They had real compressors and were legit little fridges. I used mine for years - it was still working when I needed to mothball it.
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @shahnm I’m envious - it’s so darn cute!
Protien phone chargers would be nice.
On a more serious note, if you could find a stash of the Protein Power 30g shakes in peach or strawberry, both of which have neen unavailable locally for more than a year, I’d buy some.
Insect bars?
@blaineg Where a mosquito can get a mojito?
@blaineg @shahnm And a grasshopper can get a …
@blaineg @rockblossom A what? A WHAT?!?
@blaineg A mint julep. But only one, because there’s always a mantis around looking for a meal.
@blaineg @rockblossom But since the mantis has to pray first the grasshopper likely would have time to escape and not be prey.
@blaineg @rockblossom Never mind then. Just get a bee’s knees.
Or perhaps a beetlejuice for the teetotalers…
How about making another site to sell vintage food items only? I’m really tired of all the foodstuffs taking up valuable speaker dock and pocket knife space.
@Pony Yes.

@Star2236 There is already a site for that here…
Bacon.
@806D2701 Applewood- or maple-smoked dry-slab bacon, specifically.
I’m not pro-teen at all. They’re too loud and always get on my lawn.
/showme tactical protein
Maggots have a rich nutritional profile, including high crude protein levels (30–60%) and essential amino acids.
