What news app do you use?
3Currently I'm using the NYT Now app but am considering changing it up.
I like the news alerts from the NY Times app but am kinda disappointed in the variety of articles. I used Flipboard for a while, but it doesn't send you breaking news alerts so... :/
Any suggestions?

Google News or Google Now. Whatever it's called.
I've been using the built in news app from my iphone.. it's ok
For breaking news... Twitter, duh.
For finding stuff to read, Prismatic and also stuff from Pocket's "Recommended" list.
@katylava idk if this makes me lose my millennial card or what, but I just don't get/ like twitter.
@hollboll Me neither. I find it difficult to follow news and "events" on twitter. I no longer have an account. Suppose there is an earthquake, how can I see all tweets pertaining to that earthquake? Who decides how to categorize tweets? Is it all done via hashtags? Is it easier if you're logged in?
@medz I think so. It's just too all over the place for me.
@hollboll @medz i'll just assume your weird twitter issues mean i have a cooler brain 'cause i can handle it.
@hollboll I wish the twitter hashtag could get together with Pinterest and go somewhere and die in a murder/suicide scenario.
I mostly go to Google News, but also use Reddit Is Fun.
Really like Smart News. In addition to what is there, you can add some of your favorite news sources.
@hollboll I don't. They all give me sports alerts when I Say STOP!
As a Windows Phone user ... apps? They seem mythical.
I use feedly (a spiritual successor to Google Reader) to browse articles and posts from news sites and blogs.
The feedly site and the mobile app both have a very clean layout that packs more information than Flipboard and makes it easy to organise things in different categories with tags. It's easy to preview and add any source with an RSS feed.
I use the BBC app. It's pretty adequate.
Flipboard. Alerts are kinda annoying.
