@tweezak I found this little tidbit in the end credits comforting. Movie production in the 70s sure was a different time.
“During the filming of all animal sequences, H.L. Edwards, veterinarian of Gillette, Wyoming, was in attendance at all times to aid the filmmakers and the anesthetist in proper treatment of the animals used, and at no time were the animals harmed or mistreated in any way.”
Forest fire smoke that turns the sun that weird neon orangey-pink color.
The stench of some dead rodent that you can’t locate (happened to me about 3 years ago. I finally found the desiccated corpse of a dead rat in the far corner of my basement under a pallet this past autumn. )
When I realize the fine layer of dust that accumulated on every surface in my house was actually soot from Canada. (I was too slow closing my windows.)
I’ve started monitoring the air quality. It was in “No really, it’s very bad, stay inside/ wear a mask no matter how healthy you are” range for a couple of days.

Now, I’m only ok with the legalization of “edibles” . As long as it’s only edibles I won’t have to smell it.
Tear gas
Remember Close Encounters?
