I think I decided that I don't have a favorite or least favorite color. Depends on my mood and the context. There are probably some that I never appreciate, but I'd rather not think about that. But most of the primaries and secondaries and especially in off-shades.
I like olive green maybe more than I should. Various shades of red--deep and bloody is nice. Deep blues. Black and various grays--especially the grey ones. But there are times when orange and yellow are totally called for. Brown is good.
I'm often sickened by pink, but sometimes I like it.
So, yes.
All of them.
I like color.
But I like black and white too.
Colors with pretentious and unhelpful names sometimes piss me off, but, really, that's not the color, but the pretentious prick who named it. I actually liked Pantene's winey color that everyone hated on.
@katylava I was actually going to say brown. My grandparents had brown appliances, which is what I always think of. Man that was an ugly fridge & stove. Now I feel bad. I never thought about offending people with brown hair & brown eyes. My apologies.
What color I like, or not, depends on what it is the color on… For example I like the browns and blacks of my part maine coon cat but I'd never paint a room those colors. Ever. But give me the natural browns of wood furniture and I'd buy that over painted.
@meatyochre I don't drive, one day I'll get a vehicle. For now it's public transit until I can afford one. Yep. 27 and have a license but don't own a car.
@meatyochre Today's modern car colors suck. No imagination any more. My car is white, blah. I wanted the red one but it was not turbo, so ended up with the white one.
@juststephen I was 28 before I could afford one. Got off the bus (on transcanada higway) at the base of the road that led to where I was going. I sat there for 3 days at the end of a track and a half road dirt road trying to hitch the 60 or so miles up it to the Outward Bound School. A couple of logging trucks and 2 cars in 3 days. Camped in a field across from a sort of corner store gas station. I decided then and there that getting a car was now a priority; that somehow I had to figure out how to pull that off (took another year). That was just too much that they wouldn't come get me and told me to walk the 60 miles with probably 90-100 pounds of stuff - 2 back packs, book backpack, duffle bag, guitar and canoe paddle. Yeah right.
What's up with the @Barney baiting? I never really thought much about purple before, but I like it a lot more than I used to ever since I met @barney here. Is it becoming a mission to follow Barney around and make sure you post you hate purple? It seems a little stalkerish, not sure, maybe it's just your way of making a point, but personally I love @barney's obsession with purple.
To answer the thread question, I like most colors but purple is number one .... For today.
Favorite color is octarine, the color of magic on the Discworld. It is described as a florescent greenish-yellow purple; or as kinda like black, but darker. It can only be seen clearly by wizards and cats.
Least favorite is a toss-up between plaid, polka-dots and paisley.
@KDemo No, I like violet, I like fuschia, I like most colors. About my name...when I first came onto the interwebs (8-1-1996) it was to find a way to get a cat out of our garage rafters (never found the info, he lived up there for a year before he came down; feeding and cleaning the litterbox via a ladder wasn't much fun). Anyway, at the time there were so many variations of Dianne (my real name) that I went with something unique. I chose one of our cats, Lisa Violet. She was named after Lisa Simpson (we had a Bart and a Maggie) and my mom (Violet), because my mom is the one who found her and asked us if we'd take her.
@lisaviolet - Wow, I just learned more about you than I did in your month of goathood. Interesting that you remember your first date with the net - best I could guess is that mine was in the same year. My first computer (Gateway) had Win95. I probably would have put the kittie's food at the bottom of the ladder. You are awesomely dedicated to your cats.
@lisaviolet I'm Teripie, named after my dog, Teri. The "pie" part comes from the Warrant song, "Cherry Pie." I used to sing it to Teri swapping her name for Cherry.
@KDemo My first computer was a Vendex Headstart. Then, on July 3, 1999, I got my new Gateway. (I weblog everything; I started mine on January 1, 1997.) Less than 1Gb of space. I ended up putting in three more drives (all by myself!) After the Vendex, I felt like I'd hit the big time. lol
I like purple, so purple would have to be my favorite. But then I get tired of purple after a while, and it becomes my least favorite too, All the rest are just meh.
You're just baiting @Barney, aren't you?
@joelmw Yep, he is. Baaaaaaaad @juststephen!
@Barney Run, it's a trap!

@Barney Me too!
least favorite color? these words make no sense to me.
@katylava Youngest, when asked her favorite color, will start listing colors. She gets up to about 6 and says "They're all my favorite."
I dislike that weird pukey yellowygreenish color. Blue is my favorite.
@Thumperchick I love purple.
@Thumperchick Ditto
I want to see either Pantone numbers or the spectral frequency in nanometers here, people. Anything else is just
@editorkid I love purple.
@Barney That would be 2602 C. :)
@WINTERMUTE
Ahhh, pretty purple.
I can't identify a color that is both my favorite and least favorite. My favorite color is green or my least favorite is brown.
@mikibell I love purple.
@mikibell brown is kinda bland
3333FF
B48F45
@The_Baron I love purple.
Orange (17-1140 is nice - it's what I'm painting my office).
Beige. There is nothing more aggressively bland than beige.
@Headly “Wit ought to be a glorious treat like caviar, never spread it about like marmalade”
@Headly "Beige.... I think I'll paint the ceiling beige..."
@sublimosa my husband's favorite joke...
I love purple.
@The_Baron I love caviar.
i can't help but take it personally when people don't like brown, since that's my hair and eye color.
@katylava Every color depends on the shade for me. I like certain browns more than others. It's definitely personality before looks for me.
I also have brown eyes that shift between hazel and dark brown hair.
@katylava I was actually going to say brown. My grandparents had brown appliances, which is what I always think of. Man that was an ugly fridge & stove. Now I feel bad. I never thought about offending people with brown hair & brown eyes. My apologies.
@katylava i change my least favorite vote to orange! I meant no offense :)
@katylava Orange and brown are my two favorite colors.
I love purple.
aww, you guys are sweet to cater to my irrationality.
Blue. No yel-- Auuuuuuuugh!
I love purple.
@tomvarela For the uninitiated. Really, for me to enjoy.
Ah. Tim the Sorcerer.
@tomvarela That's not Tim the Enchanter; that's the Old Man from Scene 24!
My favorite is purple, of course. I don't really have a least favorite. I love all things purple though.
I love purple!
What color I like, or not, depends on what it is the color on… For example I like the browns and blacks of my part maine coon cat but I'd never paint a room those colors. Ever. But give me the natural browns of wood furniture and I'd buy that over painted.
I love purple.
Red is best, it's awesome, it's hot
Pink is puke, well, if your puke is pink, you would be in deep kimchee, but wait, kimchee is not pink either, hmmm
I love purple.
@Cerridwyn Your puke might be pink if you've been taking a lot of Pepto Bismol.
@juststephen What color is your car? Mine is white.
@meatyochre I don't drive, one day I'll get a vehicle. For now it's public transit until I can afford one. Yep. 27 and have a license but don't own a car.
I love purple.

@Teripie order a Porsche - you can paint it any color you like. For $5,500. BMW has a huge selection of "individual" colors too...
Green :0) Yellow :(
@Barney I like purple too. :)
I love purple!
My favorite color is clear.
I love purple.
But seriously, my favorite color is orange; just about any shade.
I don't know if that has anything to do with liking redheads, or not.
I love purple.
Love purples, especially paired with deep reds and bright yellows. I don't like mustard-y yellow or puke green colors.
I love purple!
My favorite color is vantablack.
I love purple.
@thismyusername
Goat is my favorite color. Mauve my least favorite. But then, a mauve goat? That's mauvelous....
I love purple!

@rockblossom I love purple.
I like blue and green and orange, I don't really like yellow.
I love purple.
Green and Tardis blue are nice colors.
I love purple.
Soft gray first, followed by sage green, forest green, lavender, periwinkle, blue, pink (not hot), black, silver. Keep oranges, yellows, beiges and browns (except wood grain) away from me. Please.
But I'm on the fence about Georgia red.
I love purple.
I like a nice bright sky blue. I don't really have a least favorite, but I don't like green on vehicles, unless they're forestry vehicles.
@lisaviolet - Thank you, I'm not last now.
(and I have to wonder the obvious - did you forget violet?)
@KDemo No, I like violet, I like fuschia, I like most colors. @Teripie I like that!
0,255,255 is my favorite
0,254,255 is my least favorite
Its pretty hard to get it right, people have to work hard!
@tightwad I love purple.
Fave is plum. Least is breastfed baby poo yellow.
@Relleluck I love purple.
@Barney. me too! but not all shades so much.
I like purple, so purple would have to be my favorite. But then I get tired of purple after a while, and it becomes my least favorite too, All the rest are just meh.
@Steve7654 I love purple.
A lot of love for orange in this thread.
@Moose I love purple.
@barney What are your thoughts on pink? (and the somewhat related salmon color)
@dashcloud Pink is okay, but I love purple.
I'm partial to blue, myself, in a variety of shades. I can't think of a color I particularly dislike.
@Barney, do you have a color you dislike?
@jqubed No, I can't think of any.
@Barney I dislike purple.
