A foam roller 8 years ago, still use to this day. it’s awesome. Lots of electronics (Computers, Cords, TV, Monitors). A G-Shock watch, cash, Oakley’s from another.
I think I have an eye for evictions diving and Just see stuff that’s still great.
My brother and sister both live in condo complexes and they’ve found excellent things by the dumpsters from time to time. My brother loves playing guitars and he found a like-new guitar chair, a really nice one in red leather. He was super excited about that!
Kid’s bean bag chair in perfect shape, spiderman bike with training wheels that only needed air in the tires and was otherwise in perfect condition, a new, sealed in box blood pressure machine that I managed to trade for free meds for several years (well didn’t exactly trade it that was - was calling around to see if any free clinics wanted it to give to clients, was asked why I was dumpster diving, told her and got invited - I eventually started an informal food back there), a 1934 Lane cedar chest with all the parts including the papers on the inside of the lid, clothes for grands, and assorted other crap I no longer remember.
Years ago when I was in an apartment, a stationary bike. Only thing wrong with it was that the speedometer was broken. I used it for about 5 years and sold it for $25. Profit!
From my current neighborhood, across the alley from me is a rental house that occasionally has turnover. I’ve picked up a concrete bird bath that is still in my backyard, couple of rolling plastic storage bins and a vanity cabinet that I use as a tool storage in my garage.
Not dumpster… But my current dining table. Solid oak, two expandable sections, seating for 8… Was rescued by me… Because someone was throwing out… Not because there was anything wrong with it (it was in perfect condition) but because their “tastes had changed”. Not a single blemish (I don’t think it was ever used, it was just a piece in a formal dining room that was just for show.
Anyhow… I saved that table from being thrown in the dump.
I found a cool stereo
Not a dumpster dive, but the people two doors down the street put a solid hardwood dresser out for heavy trash last week, and we snagged it.
Not dumpster but I found a $1500 scarf on a pile of trash while walking home it was made by “the elder statesmen”
A Starbucks card with $7.49 on it. While doing my morning walk.

POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
About a decade ago, a “dead” Dyson vacuum. Problem turned out to be a clogged hose.
That was it. Did a little cleanup and ended up selling it on Craigslist for $50.
@narfcake ooh I found the roller ball dyson. Made my husband clean it out and it works great we still use it.
