Some things are better left back in the 1990s. That made my head hurt.
@narfcake Yeah definitely MySpace territory.
@narfcake @Targaryen
So ugly!
@narfcake @Targaryen Geocities predates MySpace by almost a decade.
bummer, my website doesn’t work in it.
@mbersiam Yeah unfortunately some of them don’t work. Youtube didn’t do much. I didn’t try Facebook yet though. What website did you try?
@Targaryen www.resultwithamber.com
I can’t connect to the wonder-tonic site at all…
first malwarebytes browser guard flags it saying there’s a Trojan, then when i click continue anyway, it won’t connect to the site…
maybe some combo of Malwarebytes and Nord VPN blocking stuff…
Yikes, that’s almost as hard to decipher as a C-a-p-t-c-h-a!
The good old days when a laptop with 4gb of ram would be more than enough to view any webpage.
@yakkoTDI 4GB was server level back in the late 90s. Windows 98 only needed 16MB of RAM; 32MB was sitting pretty already.
@narfcake @yakkoTDI
Who needs more than 640KB?
@mike808 @narfcake @yakkoTDI
Not Bill Gates, anyway.

@mike808 Wow that brings back memories…
I left Geocities in 1997 for my own domain (lisaviolet.com for the cathouse and lisaviolet.net for my photos). I really wanted to get more mugs but they quit offering rewards. I got my first webcam with points from Geo.
@lisaviolet That’s awesome.
VAN MURALS! GROUND SQUIRRELS! SPIT CURLS! AWESOME!
