why was his theme song stuck in my head 3 days ago for no apparent reason?
any word on if anyone had made a backup?

@mossygreen just was making sure nothing happened to him. Todyco is very sparce.
I could see wanting a different direction. That was very niche… but I didn’t dislike them. They say the internet is forever. Maybe not always?

but the internet IS supposed to be forever, that’s why there’s the internet archive backing things up.

If someone can get ahold of @matthew maybe he can reupload it. Maybe there was a fire and it’s literally gone. Maybe he just doesn’t want to.

@shahnm I think Glen was eaten by the SockMonster. I have no proof, but it seems like the easiest explanation. As for Ben, it looks likely that there was a much larger monster involved.

I kept a small and unrepresentative selection of work from the Woot period, but no, I don’t have a complete archive of Ben videos (or Woot videos generally). Sometimes I wish I did!
I’m sure no one at The Zon would care or notice if Ben got reuploaded somewhere. But I doubt anyone outside Woot’s current staff has access to copies.
@matthew sad, but also thank you for creating them so many years ago. the world is weirder & more fun place thanks to some of those videos.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the videos are just gone, i.e. if the only copies were on YouTube.
