What Dyson vacuum accessories do you have and use?
1Hi, I’ve got a Dyson DC25, and it works great but I always wonder if it could be improved with some accessories (the feeling usually passes after 20 minutes or so).
Do any of you have extra accessories for your Dyson?
Also, are there any good Dyson accessory deals right now?

I have only one accessory, and it’s not made by Dyson. We actually discussed this in another thread this weekend…
My Labrador sheds profusely. Her fur has a way of grabbing onto fabric and carpet and not letting go. The Dyson does a good job on the carpet, but on the upholstery I use a Vacmaster Turbo Pet Nozzle. It’s relatively inexpensive ($20 msrp, $13 on eBay right now) but it does a good job releasing the stubborn Lab fur stuck in the couch, curtains, speaker grills, and the carpet corners where the Dyson can’t reach.
None. I’m a friend of Nature, and nature abhors a vacuum. JK. My hand vac is an off-brand super-powered little monster I bought at a home show, and I just bought a Shop-Vac this weekend for dog fur pickup.
I don’t have a dyson. But I have a Shark. And Botvac, who I’ve named “Botti”.
We have a 14. It took Dyson customer service a couple of days to find a universal adapter that would fit it so I could use the Dyson turbo tool. The universal adapter I had bought from dyson, wasn’t.
We have a Dyson dog ,brush (useless) and a non-clog turbo tool that’s great for fur on carpets but is so small it’s only useful on stairs.
The crevice and stair tools that are attached I use constantly.
I bought the turbo tool for my mother but it didn’t remove dog hair from the furniture well so she gave it back. It didn’t work well on the cat tree because the surfaces are curved. Also since it’s not an on board tool I constantly left it at the last place I used it. It’s not worth it.
The only tool I would consider from their accessory page is the Multi-angle brush for ceiling fans if it were a third that price.
I got an accessory kit, but 2 I use the most are the soft brush tool… works great for dusting, and as allergic as I am I appreciate that all the moved dust goes into the vac, instead of floating around and landing in my sinuses.
I also use the flat floor tool which helps under chairs and couches and such, where most gunk accumulates, especially on hardwood floors.
I have 3 tools. I never use them.
