Back in the days when Baby Oppodude was just a very newborn (oh, let's say about 9 months or so ago) - I used it to help me see to change his diaper in the middle of the night (obviously in the middle of the day I just let him do it himself). Flipped on the red light and my eyes didn't fully adjust so I could actually go back to bed afterwards.
Bought some from Meh and had to figure out a way to justify the purchase to the Mrs. So if she asks, that is why I bought them. Thanks for being cool.
Seeing stuff in the dark when I don't want to hold a flashlight
Turns out I don't use them. I bought three from meh back in September. Gave away two and still haven't used the third.
Computer work, routing cables behind cabinets, etc.
Much better than the 30 lumen headlamp this will replace :)
Needlepoint. Like a resourceful, industrious old lady!
For about 1.5 - 85 hours if those specs are correct.
Solely for the purpose of making fun of others wearing them by infiltrating the ranks.
I used to wear one on my hard hat when I worked at a smelter. If you ever want to know what hell is like, go work in a copper smelter.
This might be useful for mucking about in a crawlspace, attic, etc now that I think about it.
My wife actually uses one to clean the dogs ears.
Good for getting round the house during power outages, which hopefully are few and far between.
@heartny flashlights are easier. Just pick up and turn on. Headlamps your have to struggle to get on your head first.
I don't. If I really need both hands I tuck my AA maglight under the band of my hat above my ear.
I use it for all sorts of working on my old house, and finding crap in the shed, etc.
Nothing. I have three, and have never bothered with them since the novelty wore off. Also, some people such at gifting.
Hunting boar at night in FL and AL. Also comes in handy for the occasional visits to my chateau on Ship-Trap Island.
Sigh No culture around this place. Nope, none at all.
To shine in other peoples eyes without it coming back on me (no, not really but it's a thought).
How about spelunking, does anybody do that any more..?
To see what I'm doing when I install that electrical conduit in the false popcorn panels in your office....
The gals may not find me handsome...but they sure find me handy..
I use it when I walk my dogs in the morning before the sun comes up. Gotta find the poop somehow and I'm NOT feeling around with my hands!
@looseneck You could find it with your shoes the next time you walk that way.

I'd use it to work on the network wiring in the ceiling at work.
