@amehzinggrace I agree-too complicated for after midnight. Maybe after a night of drinking and a full night’s sleep it will look better in the morning.
@Felton10@rtjhnstn well the sandwich wasn’t poisoned…although I’m fixing to pull out the popcorn for the irk drama…damned if they do…damned if they don’t…I need some cheese…
Sometimes what the reporter of news perceives as bad news is actually good news, while, conversely, sometimes what is presented as good news is actually bad news. In any event, a good night’s sleep is always good news.
Maybe I’m a dinosaur, but I still watch network news on TV. Even though it often annoys the hell out of me. Bad news - they overdramatize most of it, and when it truly is bad, the platitudes get so thick and heavy it’s nauseating. The good news - too often it’s so saccharine - the high school sports team letting one disabled kid have a moment of glory - yeah, sweet but so overdone, etc.etc.etc. So why do I keep watching it? Who knows!
I prefer bad news first because my attention span is so short that by the time you finish telling me the good news at the end, I will have already forgotten about the bad news. The most recent news you give me is what tends to last longer in my mind.
And now that I’ve got the news…complicated sandwich that it was… I’m going to bed… I’ll look again in the morning… maybe…

@amehzinggrace @Felton10 And maybe you won’t wake in the morning. Maybe the sandwich was poisoned.

I guess it would depend on the severity of the news.
@yakkoTDI Pandora’s box?
I prefer a happy ending.
@hchavers You’re not just jerking us around are you?

The bad news first means the good news is a small pillow of comfort, if only ironically so.
@cfg83 Yes, its a 2-Pack: Zen Bamboo Foam Half-Moon Bolster Pillows
@meh427 The bad news: … I don’t want.
The good news: Meh has everything …
I have good news and bad news.
The good news is there is no bad news.
The bad news is there is no good news.
It’s all just fairly M E H.
@phendrick Which is really…good news!
@phendrick well that sums it up nicely
Neither. I prefer people don’t talk to me, good or bad news. Now get off my lawn.

It always works it’s way into being bad for me anyway. So…whatever I guess…
