My wife reminds me every single day how her allergies were gone during our vacation in San Diego. Don’t tell her, but I want to keep my money, so we are staying in Texas.
Non existent. Of course this is Florida. The only seasons we have are Hot and Humid, Holy Fucking Hot and Humid, Hurricane and for about a week Winter.
I have allergies year round. I guess there’s a few months they get worse. Even on daily allergy medication, I can be pretty miserable. Being at work makes it worse.
My eyes being itchy is the most annoying. Especially right now in the pandemic. Whenever I do wear eye makeup it’s a struggle to not ruin it when they act up.
@phendrick cinnamon. The smell of it, if strong, gives me instant migraines. (which is a shame because I do think it’s a pleasant smell).
Also, if I have too much cinnamon, a little is OK, I get these blisters forming inside my mouth (artificial cinnamon, like in gum and candy is even worse; I did read up on this once and there is an oil in cinnamon which is also used in fake cinnamon that causes this)
My allergies got much better when I moved. Air conditioning helps a ton. I don’t know what combination of temperature, filtering, and dehumidifying does the job, but as long as I stay in air conditioning, and don’t have a bunch of scented garbage in the house, I’m basically fine.
I would normally be miserable for a week or two and then be ok but this year I was terrible for about a month. I finally had to give in and get Flonase. It probably wouldn’t have looked too good having a mask on sneezing, sniffling and coughing.
I’m allergic to everything and have asthma, so I was on a ton of meds. For years, my Dr had suggested that I see an allergist. I finally did a year and a half ago and started getting allergy shots and it CHANGED MY LIFE. It’s a crazy thing, you have to go 50 times, then keep going once a month after that. But it was 100% worth the 100 shots.
My face is a faucet for months at a time… twelve months to be exact. Thank baby Jeebus for Zyrtec, Clarinex, Allegra, Xyzal and Claritin.
@ZeroCharisma
You just make a cocktail of all those, or…?
@DVDBZN I switch it up so my allergies never know what to expect.

I have a winter condition where my wallet goes dry.
My biggest seasonal allergy is ground black or red pepper – it makes me sneeze.
@phendrick does ground up pepper fly through the air like pollen?
@phendrick @RiotDemon Maybe he meant season-ing

@RiotDemon When I sneeze, it does!
My face is a faucet for a couple of weeks. There’s a specific pollen that I’m allergic to I guess. Then it’s clear for the rest of the year!
I have some sneezing, but my symptoms are predominately red, itchy eyes and the roof of my mouth is very itchy. Spring is the worst for me.

I have to clear my throat a little more often. That’s about it.
With apologies to Robbie Burns:
O my 'Lergy is like a red, red nose
That’s constant sneezed in June;
O my 'Lergy is like the malady
Of sniffles ‘n’ coughs in tune.
My eyes! Ze goggles do nossink!

My eyes slime over.
