@grimblegromble My first bingeing experience was when I saw an interview with Bryan Cranston on CBS Sunday morning to talk about the upcoming last season of BB. Had never heard of it or watch it as I was a Dexter fan which came on at the same time. Anyway caught my interest and I watched all 56 previous episodes in 8 days so I could start the new season in real time and be up to date.
@Felton10@grimblegromble Whoa - I found the intensity of several of the BB episodes draining one-at-a-time. I can’t imagine 56 in a row.
Or do you watch the way my wife does - she is usually sewing, reading or playing a game on her phone while “watching TV”.
@grimblegromble@macromeh no-I’m all in with my undivided attention. Yeh-I was pretty well wiped out after that week, but the roller coaster ride of BB kept me glued to the TV. So much so that when the last episode of Dexter came on when the next to last episode of BB came on-I taped Dexter even though I had been watching it for 8 years and BB for only a couple of weeks.
Gotta mention though, if you have HBO max, definitely check out Our Flag Means Death! I binged it so freaking fast. I’m really hoping they get picked up for another season (or more)
Killing Eve. We got a late start, but had all of the new season recorded on the DVR. Knocked off 4, 5 & 6 tonight. Tomorrow we watch the 2 hour finale.
@stolicat I’ve got the final season on DVR, but I’m finding it hard to get into after the first couple episodes, unlike the previous seasons. Not sure why.
@macromeh I admit they crammed a lot into this last season, and have four (five, six?) new characters to deal with, so at times it seems thin in the beginning. Plus there’s a big gap between the first episode this season and the ending of last season, so the have a lot of filling in, including the strange shifts in Eve’s and Villanelle’s characters.
I have tried, but I just can’t binge watch. I don’t know how people do it. I can go two episodes max and have to step away. Typically speaking, 7 hours of television will take me about 10 days.
Over the last couple of months I’ve slowly binged why women kill, old episodes of law and order (Criminal intent - finally finished it the other day), south Park, the righteous gemstones, the good place, the Mayans, shining vale, and I’m going to binge Picard when the weather sucks and I can devote the time to do it properly. I need to rewatch the previous season first. I feel the need to do that one justice.
