@UncleVinny It was an era of experimentation in new music styles. I agree that whining sound the first 2 minutes is pretty annoying (probably due to compressed YouTube audio and laptop speakers not giving it justice). The second half that stops and you can hear more of the original intent of the artists. BTW the style was “jazz fusion” and according to Wikipedia the album was #1 in UK Billboard Jazz charts.
Heat and humidity is not a choice in the summer in Michigan, but I will grill any time, preferably if it’s below 90. In the winter above 30 and just close the lid.
Between the pond at one end of the property and the marsh at the other, our air can be up to 32% mosquito by volume at the height of summer. I’m just glad bug spray has improved since my childhood.
(Having started taking warfarin a few weeks ago, I was really hoping I’d get to see the little fuckers explode. No such luck so far.)
@dannybeans Fun fact: Warfarin used to be the active ingredient in D-Con. One of the surgeons I worked with used take great glee in calling the pharmacy to re-order his ‘rat-poison’ once a month…
I picked the “70 - 80” but living in the Northwest I would actually say “60 - 70” is my favorite. (OK up to 75 on a warm day…)
Used to be a few “hot” days over 90; most people didn’t have air conditioning. Last few years there were many days over 90. More people are getting air conditioning in a place that rarely needed it.
This year it’s been cooler so far, you know why?.. It’s 90 in Anchorage, Alaska!
How about some confusing tunes by weirdo jazz fusion combo Weather Report?
/youtube weather report river people
PS: FYI…despite what I told a co-worker who looooooved Weather Report, I think that shit is unlistenable.
@UncleVinny Thanks to Meh (and you) for introducing me to weird shit.

The weather doesn’t matter as much as if there is cold beer or not.
In Texas, it’s always cookout weather. Of course in summer, any surface becomes a grill.

It is more about the company that the weather!
Mosquitoes love me, so I’m avid indoors woman in the summer months. Grilling is a spring and fall activity.

@pmarin that’s because warm air rises so it’s moving to the top of the globe…
Never. That’s what kitchens are for.
Grilling is a 24/7 x 365 days a year sport. Most anything is better if you char it first!
@chienfou
Steaks. Grill outside all year, eat inside all year.
