Want to blow up you neighbor's house?
17For the opening of the new Independence Day movie there is a website that will simulate an alien invasion at any address you type in.

Not too bad but annoying you cannot control the volume and it didn’t actually show my house before it was destroyed. It was just a mess from the beginning.
@cengland0 Ya, I was underwhelmed. Obviously they used what they had available, but the perspectives were all off. Still, a tight idea though.
They literally blew up my street. My house was fine. The car in the driveway didn’t make it though.
Also, I did it on the phone. I didn’t hear any noise. It was just a 360° view that I could move around with the phone.
Well, that was … fun. My house was still there, and my really annoying neighbor’s house was a fireball. Oddly, my mailbox survived, but the highway didn’t. I think the post office and Fedex might have a bit of a problem delivering to my house. I also seem to be without electricity, since the explosions got the power poles leading to the house. Thankfully, they didn’t hit the old nuclear site, as I really don’t need the radiation in addition to everything else.
Very cool concept, but I put in 3 different addresses and each time it was the neighbors houses (down the street) that were aflame. Not that I am complaining. Also the streets took the brunt of the damage.

@RedMartian
Yes I am, part owner anyway.
@RedMartian only the govt would attempt to put a 55,000 sq ft home on a 1,500 sq ft lot. Perhaps it’s a really tall home.
More amusing to put in my work address
@Cerridwyn They keep missing the building. These aliens have something against streets and parking lots.
@Cerridwyn I did the same thing. Sure, the street took the most damage, but I gained a certain satisfaction seeing parts of the building aflame.
@Cerridwyn Yeah, me too.
I’ll bet it’s still there when I have to go back later. Too bad.

I know, we’re set back quite a ways from the street, so made it even more amusuing
