What’s even funnier is the search engine spammers that push fraud sites for online courses in Lichtenstein Maritime Law and registering yachts under a Lichtenstein flag to avoid taxes and liabilities.
See how Google profits from pushing spammers and scammers? And why they’re not really interested in stopping it.
@blaineg@cf1@soapyrest182 This seems to be a book that someone created rather than copy of original. It does not have the same cover as the picture above and a different author.
@blaineg@cf1@Kidsandliz@Kyeh@speediedelivery apologies, yes! didn’t mean to mislead anyone - indeed, it’s not the original copy but since I’m handy with photoshop I did my best to recreate it (and yes the first page is the same!) and then self publish using Amazon’s hardcover option since I really wanted one myself. Then I noticed other people were interested too which is why I shared the link. The main difference is there is no embossing on the front cover (as Amazon self-publishing doesn’t offer features like this unfortunately).
@blaineg@cf1@Kidsandliz@Kyeh@soapyrest182@speediedelivery If it has the same first page then you have committed something called intellectual property theft. Making one for yourself is kinda bad, but selling it is fucking criminal. Go fuck yourself.
Went to Switzerland to scatter my MIL’s ashes from the Jungfrau years ago. Had a rental car we picked up so decided to drive thru Liechtenstein just so we could say we had been there and got our passport stamped. Had a nice lunch and drive. Love the fact that they produced this ‘tome’. At least they have lawyers with a sense of humor there.
@chienfou@mike808 I have known a lawyer with enough sense and enough disdain for the antics of slimy clients that the practice of law became intolerable. And there are judges with a sense of humor…
That’s impressive! They actually had a book printed and hardback-bound. Love it.
@Kyeh I would buy the hell out of this if I could get a copy!
@PooltoyWolf Me too!
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf @blaineg
/image shut up and take my money
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf
Wonder how many calls/emails they get at the office trying to buy one??!!

@Kyeh @soapyrest182 Man, I hope that’s real!
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf @soapyrest182 I’ll tell you on July 12th.
@blaineg @Kyeh @soapyrest182 Oh good!
I clicked on this thread all excited to learn something new. I guess I did!
Yeah, my first reaction was: “But, Liechtenstein is tiny and land-locked.”
They should make the book thick enough for a cutout to keep your derringer.
@PocketBrain I was trying to figure out how thick the book is, but I can’t tell from the pictures. There are enough pages to use it as a workbook!
Now an expert. Thx!
I really, really want a copy of this. No luck on Ebay.
@blaineg https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2HZKXVX
@blaineg @soapyrest182 $15.99 seems like a bargain for that
@soapyrest182 Bought it!
Thanks for the tip.
I’d been meaning to try contacting the law firm, but never got around to it.
@cf1 @soapyrest182 For the record, this is WAY more exciting than getting an IRK.

@blaineg @cf1 @soapyrest182 @speediedelivery good catch although if the inside page is the same the humor is still there…
@blaineg @cf1 @Kidsandliz @soapyrest182 @speediedelivery
Maybe soapyrest wrote it? Saw this thread and got inspired?

Ok, I’m in… Christmas for SIL, attorney in Atlanta.
@blaineg @cf1 @chienfou @Kyeh @soapyrest182 @speediedelivery Here’s a reddit thread on the “book”
Link to your book is included in that thread.
@blaineg @cf1 @chienfou @Kyeh @soapyrest182 @speediedelivery And then there is another entertaining piece of that thread:
This is along the same lines
And a link to humorous things in books
@cf1 @Kidsandliz @Kyeh @soapyrest182 @speediedelivery Yes, you should have disclosed, but no hard feelings. I’m glad for an easy way to get my hands on it.

@chienfou I’m impressed by lawyers with any sense.

@werehatrack
That was a fun read. Need to send a link to my SIL who practices in ATL. She’ll get a kick out of that.
@chienfou @mike808 @werehatrack I sent that to my niece who is an attorney. Thanks for posting it.
@werehatrack
Various lawyer relatives loved thus.
Thx.
The repro book arrived, covered in smears from glue covered fingers. I’m sending it back for replacement.
@blaineg
I’m an expert now. I’ll explain all to you very patiently, or handle your legal issues and entanglements re this legal topic, for $3000/hr.
Cheap!
@blaineg The replacement book looked much better.
@f00l I’ll represent myself, thanks…
