These are great. They’re silent and fun to annoy cats with. I have one hanging off of shelves in my game room, one on my headboard, and one by the sewing machine.
They also fold, so they’re perfect for tossing into a suitcase if you’re headed to a part of the country with dodgy climate control.
@sfwineguy Asking for confirmation: The Home Depot has a picture of the range of the fan; barely edge to edge on what looks to be a 5’ desk. The reviews mention that the flow is pretty good, but only in that range.
(There’s also a small chunk of Home Depot reviews question the durability; some just arrive busted and that just can’t be helped.)
@pakopako On low, you won’t notice them as a cooling breeze from more than about that range. I run mine on low when I sleep, not even pointing at the bed, and find it aids air circulation noticeably. If I needed straight up cooling on an actual hot night, I’d probably need a more direct approach - either the high setting or a bigger fan.
I broke one once, called Vorando, and they had me cut the electric cord and send them a pic - and then happily sent me another. And I was just trying to order a replacement.

@pmarin @unksol or @werehatrack could offer you a deal on cats!
I’ve had a bunch of these over the years, and I think they’re great. Small, safe, almost silent on low, useful amount of air moved.
