Versatile Design: In mere seconds, AXIS 12 cleverly converts from a low-profile “Airbar” to a space saving tower fan without a single tool.
Control Your Comfort: 3 speed settings with soft touch button controls and a 360-degree pivoting head with full-range tilt allow for personalized airflow.
Modern Accessibility: Plug the fan into a USB adapter with it’s 6’ cord or use the provided AC converter to plug into an outlet for convenient cooling anywhere.
Optimum Performance: Energy efficient DC motor delivers powerful yet quiet operation and produces a higher volume of air movement.
The Zippi is one of the best fans I’ve ever used. Pushes a lot of air and super quiet. More effective than a big floor fan (definitely quieter), a different Vornado, even a mini swamp cooler. The Axis seems pretty worthless to me.
I dropped one of Zippis about a year ago and it hasn’t been quite the same since. I just re-did my home office in a light green so this deal is well timed! I added on a AXIS 12 just to give it a shot. Maybe I will use it at work.
@duodec ironic you posted that order name right after a mention of Kansas City fans in previous post.
sad to say, their game was unclean and heartbreaking.
I like the AXIS mini fan… Picked up another one.
Unique for where it can sit, on the desk, inbetween things that would be too tight for a circular fan, or in my case on a rack of electronics to cool them… It pushes a good amount of air, enough you probably don’t want more, especially right in front of you.
Cons…
The buttons are the capacitive touch kind which is the thing I dislike the most… Why does everyone hate tactile buttons now?
I also don’t like that the power cord is not removable, it’s just a cord with USB A at the end, so if it breaks the only option would be resoldering it.
The noise it makes is not silent, it sounds kind of like a gaming video card fan, if that helps anyone. It has a high pitch to it and I read a review that said it was annoying that the pitch doesn’t stay constant, it kinda randomly wavers, so it was harder to ignore. I can vouch for that, although it doesn’t bother me the pitch does waver.
Oh and the power draw is small, I think less than 2W.
That all said I’m up to 3 of them because the usefulness outweighs cons, especially at this price (although I might be swayed into a few more if it dropped a bit more meh!).
Hopefully helpful to anyone wondering.
I’ve got two Zippis from waaaaaay back in the W! days. I didn’t know they had a name but my email archives confirm 2009.
One lives on my mantle and helps my fireplace warm the room.
The other I used to velcro mount upside down under my cubicle shelf.
If they’re still built like they used to, these things are in it for the long run. Although the email says I bought three, I only remember ever having two…
All the positive comments swayed me. Axis and 2 refresh. I’ll hopefully snag a zippi in the future, but it was the lesser of the options if I can only get 3. (Not going to create a separate account.)
@xobzoo yup, understand. She did very esoteric perhaps confusing songs. Very good voice and piano skills. If you want to look back further find Kate Bush from the 1980s. I believe they are similar but I don’t think intentionally copied. I believe these pioneering women opened the door for people like Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift today. That is how music moves I guess.

I’m a fan of Desktops too!! My favorite is a Dell. I also like HP as well.
This deal blows!!!
@yakkoTDI So does your humor.
@yakkoTDI I appreciate the self-deprecating humor.
@mehvid1 @yakkoTDI I think they’re just blowing hot air
Vornado is my preferred fan brand. Pity I don’t need one of these. This is a great price.
@kjady
I think they’re good for gifting!

@joelmw The Axis is great for that small space between my keyboard and monitor on my crowded desk.

@mediocrebot Buying the “dude” part…
@mediocrebot @phendrick looks like they’re wearing a Captain Ultra costume

“Features a pivoting head to direct airflow exactly where you need it most” Sounds like a lot of people I know.
@tweezak But not hot air.
@tweezak you know people that know where blown air is needed most?
I know people who like blowing air to nowhere in particular; they need to learn from your people
I see you opened the Chinese Vornado container again
The last picture makes me wonder about the reliability of these.

Kansas City fans need support (and therapy).
@phendrick I was wondering if maybe these were some superb owl fans left over from yesterday.
@phendrick Yeah, and that Patrick fella needs his pacifier!!

Finally, something worthy of the coupons! In for two of the AXIS!

It’s not every day you see an only fans deal this good.
@Xtoff seems an appropriate link to the poll question where apparently « Pornado » was the winning choice though it was not in the poll options.

@pmarin What an unusual song.
I don’t regret hearing it, but I’m not sure what to do with this new information.

The ai has a dirty mind, apparently. Or maybe it’s just me.
I wonder why it takes so, so long to process these fans!! I ordered 2 on 02•10 & as of today, 02•14, they are still being processed!! What’s Up¿?
@1DisabledWarVet Any update since?
@1DisabledWarVet @TaiFood FWIW, I received my order for a Refresh 01 last week, so if your order hasn’t shipped yet, maybe get in touch with Support?

@1DisabledWarVet @narfcake Thanks!
I ordered mine on the same day. No update (“processing”) incl. tracking info. I left a support request.
