@bugger I did the same and bought one at $29. Both the heart rate and SPO2 functions are accurate. It tracks steps well. And it tells the time. Much happier with this than the Fitbit I had and Google doesn’t get my personal info any more.
@bugger@ManicMeltdown That mirrors my direct results for the VT3 vs the Fitbit Inspire. But “neither of the above” turned out to be preferable to either of them in the long run, for a variety of reasons. The two biggest were that although the VT3 was possible to read outdoors by shading the face with my other hand (which the Inspire emphatically was NOT), the bulkiness of either watch was just more than I wanted to put up with. In particular, the VT3 felt more like a detention tracking cuff than a fashionable and valued accessory. As for the Inspire, I was never able to find a secure band that fit comfortably, didn’t have a kleptomagnetic clasp that tried to grab everything it could attract, and didn’t fall apart in a week.
I got one of these when it was offered on side deal. I was curious about tracking sleep, heart rate etc. I ended up turning the app off to avoid notifications and battery drain, and just syncing it in the morning. It did what it said it would do and seemed fine, but I got tired of wearing it. It was a decent price for me to decide if don’t want to wear a watch again, even for smart features.
@eeterrific it is charges using a short (1’) unique USB-A cord with two little prongs, held in place on the watch with magnets. Did not come with a wall charger, you must supply your own or use a computer port.
@phendrick I think so.But sadly for me,when I activated that function, the watch overheated and nearly exploded.Good thing it was only 11 AM.Who knows what would have happened a few hours later.Cheers!!
In reviews people seem ecstatic that it works at all - so cheap. But any follow ups show dwindling battery life and mounting inaccuracies, etc.
I think there are better alternatives at any price.
Have the VT3 Plus (bought here months back), but its ‘heart health’ feature is pretty impressive! Reflects some minor deviation in heart rhythm, when compared with the informative sample charts provided.
I got the round sport version of this watch from Side Deal for $15. I would never spend $200+ on an Apple Watch, as I am often in situations that lead to scratched faces or complete losses (kayaking, hiking, etc) So I consider this to be a convenient, disposable watch, that offers a few smart features. I am getting about 3-4 days on a charge, with notifications on, so I’m good with that. The one weird thing… when you look at the watch, and it detects your movement to turn on the display, it shows the last time it displayed for a half a second, THEN updates the display. I know it’s what you get for $15, but why didn’t the knob who programmed this thing at least call for the current time BEFORE turning on the display??? If you look at it, and quickly look away… you can sometimes be off by 10-30 minutes for that brief flash!
I know that wouldn’t happen with a $300 Apple Watch, but here we are.
Other than that, It is $15 well spent for the other things it provides.
@crow What’s the sport version called? Are there any feature differences between the watch here and the one you bought in Side Deal? I’d prefer the round dial myself.
@crow@Kerig3 I got one of these…I prefer it over this meh watch due to it’s size. Had a strange issue with the charger leaking blue ooze at the contact points…but it seems to still be working.
We bought two of these here, not too long ago. It was a double pack, so was a similarly sweet deal. I’m gonna post my impressions now, since I didn’t last time. Of course, I will add a…
TL;DR: The Virmee Tempo V3 Smartwatch is a great little device, and I recommend looking into purchasing one for yourself, or maybe your kids. The price point is excellent, and I’ve found that this device has very good value to me.
My experience with the Virmee Tempo V3 Smartwatch is overall quite good, and I’ll rate it 7.75 out of 10. That’s an odd percentage, I know, because I wanted to give it an 8 except for a few things. The best thing it does is to simply record some metrics that I like to pay attention to. For instance, the step counter is the primary reason I wanted a smartwatch. This Virmee watch does that very well.
I want to clarify that I’m satisfied with the device and it meets my basic needs and expectations. The native Android app is average, imo, and not very deep with features. Nevertheless the device syncs data to a couple of different platforms on my phone, such as Google Fit and Samsung Health. It records everything pretty well but I think it’s kind of shallow. I don’t get any SMS or phone call sync though and that’s frustrating. I imagine my situation is some kind of operator headspace. But it almost works with my Google Voice app. I will say that the SMS and phone sync works just fine on the Virmee smartwatch that I gave to my partner; so there’s that as a plus. Another feature that I have trouble with is the O2 sensor. I have not gotten an O2 reading yet. And yet again, this feature works well on my partner’s device. Unfortunately, the instructions that came with the watch is also kind of shallow, and didn’t help me out much. Perhaps with more tweaking settings I can get it to work.
Next I want to talk about a couple of the embedded apps on the watch. One of my favorite is the mindfulness feature, called “Breath Training.” It is a simple breathing counter and I think it’s great…precisely because it is so simple! I can focus on that timer and truly relax my mind by following that basic instruction about when to breathe. I’ve also used the Countdown Timer and the Stopwatch features. I don’t vibe with the Countdown function, mostly because it isn’t very loud when it alarms. The Stopwatch is pretty cool though, and it’s very easy to access. It’s pretty much go, lap, and stop. But a lot of the time, that’s all I really need at the drop of a hat. Oh and I forgot to mention the Compass, and that seems to work well also.
I’m going to mention the build, feel, and fit of the Virmee Tempo V3 Smartwatch. I think that it meets my expectation in that regard. There’s nothing extravagant about the watch, and that includes the band. It’s made out of some kind of silicone blend (?), so it’s easy to fit the device around my arm snugly, and yet with the flexy comfort I expected. The build is sufficiently tough to be a solid choice to wear in any situation, on any given day. I’ve dropped mine many times and so far, so good. It is also favorable because I could break my way through, say, maybe a dozen of these devices for the same price as buying one of the fancier smartwatches. I bought mine on closeout website, so the cost was much lower. That seems like a good thing to me.
Overall, it is easy to choose this watch as a daily go-to, and easy to wear it all day. That said, I will close this by talking about my positive impression of the battery life. It seems pretty good. There is a setting to make the battery last longer, which I leave enabled. With this on, I generally get seven days of use from the device. I don’t have any personal experience with other smartwatches, so this seems reasonable to me.
Well folks, thanks for reading and I hope my experiences can help someone else. Take good care :))

Spend a little more and buy a Fossil Hybrid HR. Up two weeks on a single charge, heart rate and step tracking, music controls, and even limited responses to SMS. You can configure for per app notifications,
@aarond12 I Paid $130 for mine a few months ago. Plus, it is Fossil’s own OS, not WearOS. Also it has an eink screen and real hands, so usable in full sunlight.
I bought one of these the last time it was offered. A month later my credit card was hit with about $300 for software charges. I called the company making the charge but the responses were indecipherable. I asked Meh why my card info got into these people’s hands and no satisfactory response came back. I had to close my bank account, which of course meant having to waste a few days on fixing auto-pay and incoming auto-income accounts. A MAJOR PITA. Beware of the Virmee people!
@Jameson1 Hey there. I’m not sure what you consider to be a satisfactory response, but you were informed that we didn’t give your card information to anyone. I have a Virmee watch and run the app. I’m not seeing anywhere in the app to put in any form of card details, so it sounds like your card was compromised separate from this purchase or product and the timing was just inconvenient.
For what it’s worth, our billing system is run by Stripe.com. Stripe operates billing services for many of the world’s largest online sites and services such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and many more. If that system were compromised, at any time, it would be international news. All card information is stored exclusively within their system, so no one within our company, nor anyone visiting our system can access that information as it is not saved anywhere within our systems.
I’m sorry you went through all that, but I don’t think the watch is to blame.
@Jameson1
Wow, that’s quite a charge you make against Meh. Pun intended.
Firstly, why would you assume meh would give your credit card info to Virmee? They (meh) are just selling a pallet of cheapo watches.
Next, why would you have to cancel your bank account if your card was compromised? Would you not just cancel the card?
Lastly, I wonder if you listed some of the info on the charge that was on your banking site if someone could help ID where it was from?
My card is out there on multiple sites, and any of them could get hit and I wouldn’t know. I usually choose the option not to store it, but in some cases its awful convenient.
I bought a Virmee watch. It worked and then it didn’t. Couldn’t get it to connect to my phone again for the life of me. Oh well, I found out I didn’t really miss wearing it so it was an inexpensive experiment.
Why do they make smart watches so darn ugly? I don’t need bling or anything, but a little bit of class would be nice. Most look like the first digital watches that came out. Flashbacks to the 80s and not in a good way.
I live in LA where people are being attacked, run over, followed home and beaten so that gangs can steal their watches. Will wearing this put me at risk?
@spavlis she will not love it and will keep it buried in a drawer and forget all about it once a different family member buys her an Apple Watch. Here’s to family!!!
I grabbed one in order to find out if I would like it better than the Fitbit Inspire that I’m not terribly happy with. But it turned out to be a mixture of better and the same in most ways, but not enough better for me to want to keep on using it. Basically, they need to get a lot thinner before I’m going to want to put up with having it on my wrist. And a regular dumb watch is a whole heck of a lot easier to read in full sun, which is at least half of what I would use a wristwatch of any kind for. The Inspire fails on that too.
The VT3 Plus is worth holding out for. Got mine for under $30 on one of the deal sites. It has a 1.57" screen (vs 1.33" on the VT3) and more pixels in the display (not necessarily higher resolution, just more info). I like the band these come with, the app is a bit screwy but if you fiddle around enough, you can customize the notifications to a decent degree. I primarily want to see who is calling or texting and what the calendar reminder is about, and these work flawlessly (until you accidentally put it into DND mode…).
If you are really in need of a highly accurate BP, sleep monitor or SP02 device, don’t bother with either watch, simply think about the work behind the tech required for these measurements and get a device made to do that job.
However, the stopwatch and the electronic compass on the VT3 Plus are actually pretty useful.
@Jonas4321 And just like that, the band on my VT3 Plus broke. It ripped out at the pin, leaving the pin in the watch but the watch off my wrist and on the pavement. At least there are a lot of inexpensive options on Amazon…
Got my watch today. When I bought it, I was just sort of “well, we’ll see how this thing is when I get it” but then started finding more info on this and got pretty excited about the possibilities of what it can do. I haven’t had that much time with it, but I have to say, I’m pretty danged impressed by this thing so far! It doesn’t seem to be counting my steps, but I have a Misfit Shine for that, anyway. I got it for the O2 and Heart Rate stuff. Even if it’s just close to the right numbers, that will help me out. I’m REALLY stoked that I can control my phone’s music app and volume with this! I wanted something like this for the times when I use my phone for tunes in the car. So far, I’m going to say it’s worth the purchase!
Got my watch yesterday and had high hopes. I currently use a Mii fit band that I find very useful and is in about the same price range as this but the larger screen appealed to me. I do have a few app though that give me critical alerts to my watch throughout the day. Didn’t see any reason why this watch couldn’t do that too. Boy oh boy was I wrong. The list of apps that the watch gives you to be able to receive notifications isn’t just small it’s miniscule. And to make it worse most of the apps there aren’t ones that give notifications.
If any one know a way to get this to work with another app to send the notifications I need please speak up. Withholding judgement on the watch till I have exhausted all possibilities but my hopes are low.
I’m still wearing the one I got the first time around. I like it, except, as above, I don’t care for wearing a watch. Mostly it tells me I don’t sleep enough.
I don’t know how long the battery lasts, since I don’t make notes, but it’s a long time, several days, and it charges quickly, like less than an hour.
I found a charger cable that works on Amazon. I haven’t needed it, but it’s in the car so I can charge the watch while I’m driving.
I’d buy a backup for $15 of I hadn’t already bought a backup.
I got one of these on Side Deal for $20. It has lots of options for fitness tracking that I don’t use, since I use it mostly for counting steps, and as a watch. I have used the heart rate, O2 level, compass and a few others, and they work well and are pretty accurate. The only thing I don’t like is the charging setup. Very short ~12 in, USB cable that connects to the back of the watch with magnets. Placement can be a bit fussy, and I’d prefer a charging setup with a stand, but for this price just a minor issue. One other thing. I started to go through the setup process, and I had to leave before I set the language. When I got back to it, it had defaulted to Chinese. The only way to get it to reset to English was to download the app and connect it to the watch. I hate to say how long it took me to figure that out. For the price this is a great deal. Probably going to get a few more as gifts.
I got the virmee plus and it does pretty well. Definitely a good trial to decide if you should invest in a good smart watch. I think i will at some point since not pulling phone out so frequently is worth it
After dabbling in Martian watches (one defunct, the other sorta works), I just got a Samsung Watch 3 for $99 refurb, which looks & acts brand new. WAY cool. So no need of any more plastic Chinese crap semi-educated toy timepieces.
Does anyone know the name of the Android app for this watch? The link provided here goes to Virmee’s website and the links there are all dead. (Meh, please fix this) Searching the Google Play store doesn’t show any apps with the name “Virmee” in them. I accessed the Play Store from a tablet running 7.1.1—could this be why I’m not seeing it?
@Kerig3 It’s in the Google play store now. Search for “Virmee”. I think it got pulled over a privacy policy issue and Google app store requirements that they resolved and it just got reposted to the app store on 4/20.
@mike808 Thanks for the APK link!
I’m still not seeing it in the Play Store from my tablet, could be it’ll only work from a phone although that doesn’t make sense to me. I’ll try side loading it and see if that works on my tablet. I’ll also check my wife’s phone later tonight and see if it shows in the Play Store from her phone.
I don’t use the messaging / phone integration features, so I don’t turn of any permissions other than location (for Bluetooth searching for some reason?) and storage (for my heart and sleep data).
I don’t need my watch able to download my contacts, access storage, and then send text messages back with whatever information it wants to phone home.
Might as well add more attack vectors so I can complain about how my info gets “stolen”… At least this app doesn’t run spyadware like games do.
I got a few of these on side deal. Can’t beat the price for a waterproof watch. Is it an Apple watch? No. But it keeps time and seems to sync with my Android phone for notifications. My only complaint is the limited amount of watch faces (2) to choose from. For a watch to also have a o2 sensor and heart rate monitor for this price is insane. This model seemed a bit small for a man, but my kid loves it. At this price…I’ll get another as a backup. Also, it did work as a remote for my music app on my Pixel 6. I’ve had Android watches that couldn’t handle that simple task.
Ugh, I wish I’d checked out the worthless app before buying this. I’m having no luck getting the watch to sync, and the instructions are utterly unhelpful. And of course there’s no way of showing important features like, I dunno, the actual time, from the phone. It was 15 minutes ahead. After a reset, it’s now 25 minutes behind.
So I have a useless app and watch that doesn’t tell time.
Anyone who’s successfully connected have any pointers? I’m Android.
finally reached out to support. their response was mostly useless, though I guess they don’t normally deal with people who know how to do proper troubleshooting
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Is it the first time you can’t set notification messages for the watch? Or is it impossible to set message notifications for the watch after upgrading the version of the app?
Please uninstall the App and then reinstall it and try another phone to see if this problem can be solved?
If this still doesn’t work, could you please take a short video based on the issue and send it to us? Then we will report it to our engineer for further checking.
In addition to that, could you please provide your order number/ order screenshot and your current address for further checking?
You know it’s good when the price comparison is Walmart.
I bought one from Amazon for my mom. I have to say it really works good. FYI worth the $29 I paid then so $15 is awesome
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@bugger Honestly, for $15? I may be in.
@bugger I did the same and bought one at $29. Both the heart rate and SPO2 functions are accurate. It tracks steps well. And it tells the time. Much happier with this than the Fitbit I had and Google doesn’t get my personal info any more.

@ArmchairGamer @eeterrific, a '69 Dodge Charger, with a 400 magnum!
@1DisabledWarVet @ArmchairGamer @eeterrific Assuming that the lighter socket isn’t full of cigarette ash from the common habits of those days.
@1DisabledWarVet @ArmchairGamer @eeterrific
@1DisabledWarVet @ArmchairGamer @eeterrific I guess that would be a fast Charger, then.
And then its life is over? So, it’s like those Martian watches y’all sold me?
@phendrick At least its not your life!

@phendrick Hush, you! Martian watches are sacrosanct!

@spavlis so, you want to give your daughter a “my parents are so cheap” story.
I grabbed one in order to find out if I would like it better than the Fitbit Inspire that I’m not terribly happy with. And a regular dumb watch is a whole heck of a lot easier to read in full sun, which is at least half of what I would use a wristwatch of any kind for. The Inspire fails on that too.
@werehatrack Do you remember the name of the app? I couldn’t find it on the Play Store and the links Meh provided are all dead.
@Kerig3 VIRMEE from Mariana Trading, and it looks like it’s still on Google Play.

I’m not a fan of the rubber plastic type bands does anyone who has gotten this know if a normal band can be used?
@Foxborn Based on a review I watched on YouTube, I believe it uses standard watch bands. I’m not sure what size, though.
Just yesterday I was extremely close to ordering one of these from Walmart. Happily surprised when I opened meh this morning.
Google Fit integration is not working.
That is a problem for my use case.

@b6yFA0 yeah I have the same issue
Looks like the reviews are pretty decent, and its weight is 35g (much less than my Samsung Galaxy 4 watch at 50g).
@craigthom Seems kind of dangerous to have your wrist tethered to the cigarette lighter while trying to steer.

I think i will at some point since not pulling phone out so frequently is worth it
@ercole11 Same. I wear it every day and have gotten nearly 6 months of use from it. One of my favorite purchases from meh.
After dabbling in Martian watches (one defunct, the other sorta works), I just got a Samsung Watch 3 for $99 refurb, which looks & acts brand new. WAY cool. So no need of any more plastic Chinese crap semi-educated toy timepieces.
@MrNews
It’s much better to have a plastic Korean crap semi-educated toy timepiece instead.

You can download the APK and side load if you need to as well
https://virmee.com/pages/app-download
Current version is 1.0.0.43.
Might as well add more attack vectors so I can complain about how my info gets “stolen”… At least this app doesn’t run
spyadware like games do.This will have to do for my wife until I can save up the $900.00 for the Apple. LOL

@relm256 It worked! Your order number is: ill-theatrical-guitar

@brainmist mine connected has the right time I knew the was bad but it’s worse than I thought I nee google keep alerts and no go on that
finally reached out to support. their response was mostly useless, though I guess they don’t normally deal with people who know how to do proper troubleshooting
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Is it the first time you can’t set notification messages for the watch? Or is it impossible to set message notifications for the watch after upgrading the version of the app?
Here is a video for reference:

Android: 00:41-01:26
Please uninstall the App and then reinstall it and try another phone to see if this problem can be solved?
If this still doesn’t work, could you please take a short video based on the issue and send it to us? Then we will report it to our engineer for further checking.
In addition to that, could you please provide your order number/ order screenshot and your current address for further checking?
We are looking for your reply.
Have a good day!
Best regards,
Scarlett
@Foxborn I always love the cavalier “please try another phone”. Um, yes, let me just grab a fresh one from my well-stocked phone dispenser.
Finally tried to use the one I got in a MorningSave mystery box. Works great as long as I leave it on the 6 inch charger . Oh well.
It ONLY lasted 1 year and couple of months, nice when in worked! But lasted so SHORT TIME!!
