@eeterrific Yes. I do not drink wine. But, those friends that do are perfectly capable of finishing a bottle in a sitting. More realistic situation, trying to convince them they do not need to open another.
@Dizavid IF it was December 18, 2017, It was the same model. Difference here is you do NOT have to pay the extra $5 for the ADDITIONAL 3 stoppers. (TOTAL 6 stoppers today.)
Correct me if I am wrong but you guys have a wine site now right? You sent me an email wanting me to help fund it and stuff. I love meh.com love what you guys do but I hate alcohol and everything relating to alcohol so can I kindly ask you keep this type of crap on that site and off of here. Thanks.
@dino2269 - What you could maybe do is make your own no-alcohol thread and stay in there. Because it doesn’t make sense to censor everyone else to your whim.
@PlacidPenguin I tried the customer service email on the instructions sheet and got an email bounce-back. I put a request through their website, so hopefully they respond to that.
@TuffGong Another DOA I guess. Tried different batteries that tested fully charged. Only tested in the last meh bottle which was a screw top. Could that be the issue? Is there a way to know if these things work?
Went onto Vestia site. It doesn’t look like anything is being maintained… the YT video is “unavailable”! I tried calling 888-629-2525 and it just rings and rings.
@fjp999@TuffGong the problem is with the springs at the bottom. Depending on the battery type it doesn’t contact metal on metal. Had this problem with enelops. Fixed this with a small piece of tin foil on the + side of the left battery (downward facing). Try it
@kemper45@TuffGong DOA no more. Had my Aldi shopping trip so got AAA from them and now working as advertised. I wasn’t using enelops but Panasonics that came with an old phone… will have to try other brands of rechargeables (or the tin foil trick).
@fjp999@kemper45 I just tried some regular AAA batteries from a different remote and it worked. Indeed the tin foil trick worked with my rechargeable batteries. Thanks!
I thought this would be a great accessory to go along with the wine membership the wife has. Tested a bottle last night and was impressed; it does a complete seal, no leakage, so we can place the leftovers in the wine-fridge thingy, and yes, the wine bottles in there lay flat, so sealing any potential leakage is an important factor.
I’ll also parrot the person who asked “How do you know it’s done?” There is no timer that I can tell with the device; as long as you press down, it’s trying to take the air out of the bottle. I figured 10-15 seconds is probably good, but didn’t see anything in the instructions that talked about this.
@kevnad1966 Maybe mine just sucks. I previously tried it for up to two minutes and when I went to open the bottle there was no vacuum. Recently I decided to grit my teeth and just let it run as long as it wanted (or until the batteries died). After about 6.5 minutes it finally stopped and this time when I pushed the release-vacuum-button it actually made a “pft” noise.

Stop it!
I thought wine bottles were one time use only.
If I ever had some wine left over, I’d consider this…
@eeterrific Yes. I do not drink wine. But, those friends that do are perfectly capable of finishing a bottle in a sitting. More realistic situation, trying to convince them they do not need to open another.
Just give me your leftover wine- I’ll vacuum it out for you.
There are ways to avoid needing this device…hiccup
Quit yer wine-ing…
Saving wine. That’s a laugh.
Wow, way to fuck my b-hole hard, Meh. I paid you $15 for a lesser version of this!
@Dizavid
That’s how you are using this?
Ok.
@Dizavid IF it was December 18, 2017, It was the same model. Difference here is you do NOT have to pay the extra $5 for the ADDITIONAL 3 stoppers. (TOTAL 6 stoppers today.)
@Dizavid You censored Butthole but not fuck…
Hmm
Starting what???What comes after the starter kit?
@kathywhitmire Stopping. This starter kit is for stopping. It’s all in the description.
Never understood the trend of making simple mechanical tools like corkscrews or vacuum pumps battery-operated. Meh.
@tristero But then how would you power the Wifi?
Meh whiners
@AttyVette We will shell no whine before its thyme.
Do these work with beer bottles?
@fastfox For a few milliseconds.
@fastfox @mehcuda67 Only if you can swap the batteries end for end and use it to pump air INTO the bottle…
If only I could find a site somewhere that sold wine with the same dedication to community as meh.
To air is human, but do forgive the wine.
Is there some type a war between Meh and Casemates?
Is there really a difference? Where’s the Amazon reviews?
@ishoppe247
THEY WORK VERY WELL
THIS IS A VERY GOOD DEAL.
Buying 4 MORE. (Wife also has an account.)
Last time I had to pay an additional $5 for 3 extra stoppers. This time they are included: $5 lower price than last December 18, 2017.
HERE IS A REVIEW from fellow VMP and fellow CaseMate (me):
THEY REALLY WORK WELL
They are nicely packaged and by outward appearance they are well made and well designed.
REALLY NICE and UNIQUE GIFT.
Wife bought one for her niece. I just ordered one more set for ourselves and two additional for gifts to friends.

In for two.
I see it uses two batteries. Can you store the entire unit in the fridge, or do you have to remove the batteries first?
@mehcuda67 This is a troll question, right?
These work for whisk(e)y bottles, too, if you’re the kind of person to let less than half a bottle languish for more than 6 months.
Anyone who own them know if the wine leaks out when stored on their side with the corks in?
@bdp If your basic biologic functions and GI tract are in working order, then the wine should never leak out, and you won’t need any corks.
ibought.

Perfect! I happen to be vacationing in manatee region.
I don’t need this.

I just bought some crap from Meh. I feel ashamed. Is that normal?
@jbag88 yes
@jbag88 no
@jbag88 maybe
@jbag88 Sometimes
@jbag88 Often
@jbag88 Depends
@jbag88 @shahnm Do we need to have a conversation about this?

Outlook not so good
Unnecessary if your wine comes in a box.
Unnecessary if you drink a whole bottle every time you open one; within 5 minutes of opening it, like I do.
@jbag88 The tannins wont have time to mellow in 5 minutes.
@jbag88 Granted, that won’t apply if vinted in Boone, ID or blessed by a Rabbi.

@dino2269 You need a drink…
@dino2269 This isn’t wine. I can’t get shipments of alcohol from out of state, so I don’t check that site, but I still occasionally drink wine.
I’m also pretty sure everything meh sells is in some way related to alcohol, some more obviously than others.
I’m in…

whoohoo that’s purchases two months in a row… VMP still going at about a break even.
How long should this thing run? It doesn’t click but goes on and on and on until I turn it off
Mine delivered yesterday (4/14/18) and seems to be DOA.
@TuffGong
Contact Vestia for warranty support.

I guess I should check mine. It’s on the stack of other unopened meh boxes right now.
How do you know when it’s done? Is it supposed to stop whirring? Mine doesn’t stop whirring.
