So the trackrs in that snail have travelled a lot. Ironically I couldn’t find most of my trackrs, so @ybmuG nicely sent me some. So those trackrs have travelled from the factory to the meh warehouse, to ybmuG’s to my house and now to yours embedded In a snail.

@capnjb @onionsoup So the ghost and the snail light up?!?? I also knew from a whisper that something was in the works with Trakrs in it, but this is much cooler than I could have imagined! Love the works of art!

@capnjb @Kyeh the ghost lights up, it has LED fairy lights in its core. The snail does not light up, I considered putting lights on it too, but didn’t think much light would get through with all those trackrs. The snails body is transparent and there is a light source behind it making it glow

@kykazaa I’m super glad it was well received! I wasn’t expecting it to get to you until Monday. It was very cathartic gleaning lots of gems from my (altogether too large) IRK stash and sending them on to another home. I kept finding more and more things to cram into the box and wound up making a significant dent in the reserves.

The video game system is a bit quirky. It is fun but frustrating in that they did not correct any timing for the chip that it’s running on so anything with a timer runs at about 4x speed, although the gameplay itself isn’t sped up. But there are some fun games on it, and it’s inexplicably shaped like a boombox decorated like the opening credits to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air which is fun. If your daughter pops out the micro SD card there are about 60 other games on the system as well, but they’re all super generic with no chance of being suspected of violating any kind of copyright. I kind of think it’s made that way to avoid being seized in customs, as the rest of the games did not show up until the card was ejected and reseated in the slot.

Excellent choices on your personal keepers. The flashlight is quite bright and will focus down to throw a spot beam what must be the better part of a mile. The battery lasts a long time as well. Kanoodle was actually delivered as I was finishing packing the box, and I remembered that your wish list mentioned mental stimulation, so I crammed it in the box and ordered myself another, which will be here tomorrow

I had actually stashed that Trackr beneath the flap of the first box I was packing in. That box proved too small so I got a bigger one. At the end when I was breaking down the half dozen boxes I had emptied in this process, the Trackr fell out and just got placed in the new box. I had hoped for a mention of “and no Trackrs” so I could say check again, but I wasn’t unpacking it all for that small chance at a joke paying off.

So glad the vernors made it, I was worried it was going to explode on the way. My area has become a treasure trove of liquidation places for Amazon, Walmart, target, Home Depot, Lowe’s and ect, it can get you in trouble. That’s where I got the cat collar (and some other stuff). I was thinking you could make a new hole and cut off the extra to custom fit your cat. It does look very cute on him. Sorry pink was all they had. That’s so cool that the blanket glows in the dark. I kinda figured it was a blanket but couldn’t tell for sure or what was on it.
I’m glad you like the box and it made it there. Also look in the pockets of the meh bag, I always want to find stuff in the pockets and think meh staff should put stuff there.

@capnjb lol … to explain to people the picks. In the note I included in the box, I made the comment the dice was made with the left over resin from the snail’s foot. But in hindsight, I should have made guitar picks instead. Since I knew he played guitar , “But I didn’t so ‘meh’”.

Immediately after giving the box to UPS I thought… " I shouldn’t have worded it like that," even though I knew it would be taken as a joke. So I ordered some from Amazon. Theres nothing else coming now…

I did get a note that something was coming from pitney Bowles, but I figured that was a typo for pitney blowes
We did have an above ground pool when the kids were little…but alas, they are grown and the upkeep was not worth the effort.

By the way the screen was because I remember reading some place that you did screen printing!

@chienfou we do… hubby does the actual printing… i do all of the set up and material movements… i place the shirts on the planchette and take them off to be heated…etc … so as to have him not get ink everywhere in my house!!!

I thought the screen was in reference to throwing the kid outside to the back deck to watch movies out there… around the same time as we had the pool. (Fenced in yard, with a gate between the deck and pool)

Actually it was. The screen printing reference was tongue in cheek… hard to convey sometimes in. printed form. Either way I thought you might get use out of it. I already have a roll-up screen that I use outside when we do movies by the pool.

How about washing them - have you tried that? One person said they’re machine washable, another said they didn’t do well when washed.

@Kyeh I washed mine on delicate cycle and they were fine. My friend that I sent a pair to said she has washed hers several times and they did great. It may just depend on the machine.

@pooflady the red and white gun looks like a jerky gun… Fill it with seasonings and ground meat all mixed up and squeeze out strips to go in the dehydrator and make jerky, or use the funnel end to fill sausage casings.

Wow! Very nice box from @vrysen. Thank you so much. If I had someone to run it with me next year (bc it’s very time consuming answering all the emails) I would probably consider doing it again. But that person would have to take on half the responsibly. Getting sick and having my phone being broken this week has really sucked and made it a lot harder to stay on track. I feel like on my phone all day trying to get caught up. That’s really my only complaint.

Turn to side/landscape view and when you press reply (or it will just pop up) the symbol I circled that looks mountains and sun will pop up. Hit that and you’ll be able to upload pics from your phone. I have no idea how to in a computer bc I never use one.

@mehhhhname sorry about the batteries, I realized it after I already had it sealed, weighed and labeled or I would have added them in. Glad you liked it! Was fun putting it together. Also, for more on the beads/baby Jesus, Google King Cake and you can get the whole story. It’s a Mardi Gras thing and you can normally find them in your area at one or two stores, Kroger sold them here in Cinci. Also, I pulled the light out of the box to make it fit, but looks like it made it ok. Happy Halloween!

So… The mystery deepens. I got another package in the mail yesterday. Again no identifier other than Amazon fulfillment but I know it’s part of this because my meh name is attached to the address!
This one consists of four thin rubber discs that are used for opening jars. These will come in handy as well. Thanks “mystery person”

Next in the box was

• a plant mister for all my plants
• A very cute green shirt but unfortunately a little to small (im a little to top heavy to fit into it) but my SIL should fit fine.
• 2 face masks to add into my nightly routine
• A very cute cat mouse arm rest, will definitely come in handy at my dads house when I pay the bills
• And a lovely bag of snacks containing tea, biscotti with my favorite dark chocolate peppermint. Panda snacks (which I just ordered the other day lol), a sesame snack and a couple other things

I don’t think the box could be more me! I love plants and my house is a jungle. I a sucker for cute clothes, and skincare and I’m definitely a foodie.

@Star2236 I have one of those plants. It used to sit in the aquarium I kept in my office, the fish poop fertilized it nicely. It grew so long it wrapped around all four walls (well 2½ walls in each direction but overlapped in the middle).

We called it the “Audrey 3”. Unfortunately I keep getting moved around now so I had to keep trimming it back so it has never come close to approaching the size it once was. (that and there are no fish in the aquarium any more to fertilize it).

It is very disappointing when one person in the pair flakes out/blows off the other person. Yes many participate just to get free stuff, but part of the fun is everything that leads up to the box sending and then the unveiling.

@Pony @Star2236 So have I and the time that really upset me was when I had seen a post that they had never gotten an fuku and meh branded stuff. As a result I sent them a bunch that stuff of mine, a bag, some other things they had mentioned they liked on the forums (like a set of knives I had gotten earlier in a fuko)… I had parted with stuff I normally wouldn’t have parted except for their meh posts. And then they never posted nor responded to my flagging them. I had been looking forward to seeing their pleasure getting things I knew they’d like. That is part of the exchange too. Not just getting stuff.

Even worse is those who never send (although fortunately there are always people who want to send but not receive). Almost as bad is those who send broken things and literal trash (I got a box like that once).

And all this is why when we run it those of us who do keep a list of people doing this kind of crap and ban them. And pass on that list to the next person.

Oh don’t worry about it capnjp. I would have totally forgot about it if you didn’t mention it. Funny story, my brother used to live in Oregon and was the manager of a coffee place that roasted their own beans. He would send us home a pound a coffee once or twice a month. Multiple time it never made it, all that showed up was a ziplock bag with the wrapper and a note from UPS saying sorry. They would pour out the coffee beans and look for drugs.

I had been saving a Pasta Drop box for just this occasion! And you’ve commented on wanting Pasta Drop back!

Unfortunately, a mouse also admired this gorgeous, carb-scented box, and pooped in it. A lot. And died. (I briefly considered trying to create something with the very dessicated mouse but decided that might be pushing ‘spooky’)

So I got a different box. Which meant needing more to fill it. Should I have added a bidet? I don’t know, I went with art to hang over your toilet instead (let me know if you want to see the finished version of the paint by number, it is… Erm. Unique.)

And then I had to weigh the box. Too heavy for my postage scale. My regular scale (from Meh) had dead batteries. Wait! I thought. Aren’t these the same size as trackrs? And didn’t I have some working ones?

After locating some that did work, and then finally managing to pop one open? Ahahaha no. Wrong size.

So I did the smart thing, bought some damn batteries, weighed myself with and without box (without mouse), and finally got the darn thing off.

All trivial, silly events. Except the weighing myself. Now I gotta break the scale.
