Unique Gratitude
5Most folks show gratitude in the standard, societally conditioned ways. They say, “Thank you,” write a note, or make sure to return a kindness bestowed upon them.
But some folks have more unique or personal ways of expressing gratitude. (Like writing a poem, or paying it forward.)
How do you show gratitude? Is it different for different people?

I suppose it depends on the situation. If you brought me a cup of coffee, I’d say thank you.
I suppose in light of the commercial nature of meh.com, I show gratitude by continuing my VMP mehmbership. I also showed gratitude by backing a wine website that can’t ship to me.
Furthering my gratitude, I continue to purchase various items from MorningSave, SideDeal and Meh.
I am VERY grateful for @snapster’s generous 50% off coupon that I used on a $260 mixer. That was truly an outstanding bit of commerce for which I am grateful.
Mine is remembering specific details about the people I love. (Like their takeout order at our favorite spot.)
It’s not a big thing, but it means that sometimes, stuff they like just shows up, without any effort on their part. It’s how I show my gratitude for their support.
@Thumperchick i do that too! Sometimes it seems like people are pleasantly surprised and sometimes it’s like they are taken aback or confused.
I rub my wife’s feet
I put their batteries in the refrigerator for them.
I once sent my mother-in-law flowers on my husband’s birthday with a card that said, “Thank you for him.” She just thought I was weird.
