“For the price, the TRYM II is far superior than the other brands on all of these aspects. Out of the box, the motor and battery life is strong, giving an efficient shave. The attachments are sturdy and clip into place without any wiggle. @Stevo32792 I have the Peanut too and would have a hard time using anything else. Those battery operated ones just don't last long and seem weak in comparison.
Young Glen was quit the looker back in the day! Wew! Anyway, nice, sleek, modern styling on this. I love it, but need something to shave me a little lower down. And by that I mean my face. Close, oh great and powerful Meh, but no weiner.
I think you should have showcased the following Amazon review. Seems fitting for this site.
"It's a very mediocre product. The description says it's good for facial hair, but it's a very coarse clipper better suited for your neck or body hair. The dock usually works, but it's a little finicky."
@ThreeTrees You're right....It's way above average: Not refurbished 3,490 Amazon review (4.1 stars average...80% of reviews are 4 or 5 stars) 152 answered questions cheap everyone owns some hair.
I bought a set of Wahl clippers 17 years ago and think they're one of my best purchases. If you don't give a rat's ass about style, and give less than a rat's ass about people would judge you on the basis of a haircut, a set of clippers will save you a lot of money every year.
@cercopithecoid Completely agree. I've been cutting my own hair for about 5 years. Granted I use a #3 all the way around and it's rather fool proof, but still, since I cut my hair every 2-3 weeks I probably save a few hundred bucks yearly.
I own this one. The clippers aren't very loud, but they aren't very powerful either. Battery life is fair - the number of trims you get of course will depend on how much you're trimming at a time. The biggest detriment I've found is the attachments - there are only four, and you can't get any other sizes. In my opinion, the longest size is just a little bit not long enough.
If you want your beard clean but longer than 9mm, pass on this. If you're OK with the sizes available, $19 is a solid deal for this set of clippers.
Yaaaay! More guy products. (Insert girly sarcasm face) I could double your sales in CT alone if I told a few women they could get great deals here. Gettin so tired of staying up late to check Meh to grab great stuff for my hubby and sons. Yawn
@stinks we love the fakespot mission but had some problems dialing in the accuracy of that landing page when we checked it out. When you click further in it says A Rated ... Trust the reviews. Thinking that might mean the latest reviews were shady, we used wayback machine to see that actually the Amazon rating has come down slightly over time. So we decided it was a glitch with fakespot. Definitely welcome any more insight found on this.
@snapster The insight I use is my gut, after reading so many product reviews I just go ahead and read the 1 stars first and then move on up from there. Brads deals has this as one of their **top deals of the day, so ya got that going for ya.(%
@growyoungagain agree & love to start at the worst reviews and then balance if I'm not scared off entirely. I try to keep in mind the price point they were reviewed at as well - I wish Amazon asked for "price paid" as an input on the review but that would cause them sales friction.
@discmaster They came with two clippers. The ones for sale here and another one that was junk as well. They would not cut at all. The directions that came with them had spelling errors throughout the entire paper. I purchased them on Woot 8 months ago.
In for one. My current trimmer's rechargable alkaline batteries leaked and caused corrosion. Not sure how or why. Plus they have to be about 10 years old so I'm sure the blades are dull.
@kalos Just checked your account and I don't see any active orders. Looks like your order may not have gone through or you may have cancelled it inadvertently. You'll need to go in and order again. Shoot our support team a message if you need any help.
Meh. One of the Amazon questions revealed it has Ni-Cad batteries. Coupled with a device that you want to set in its shiny charging doc (they recommend you only charge for 8 hours, but include a charging display stand) that's a recipe for soon dead/short-life batteries.
Well, I held off all day thinking about this purchase. My current clippers sometimes pull rather than cut my neck hair. A $14 solution? Maybe worth it. Maybe just enough to annoy the wife. Oh well. Let'er rip. tenuous-arbitrary-swan
The alternative pronunciation for Trym II, besides "trim 2", is "try 'em, too!" That would be on the subliminal level. Coupled with the elevator ride on today's movie on moving office space to downtown Dallas, the inferential metaphors abound. Danged smart advertising geniuses.
So, I bought one. Not going to bother entering tracking here.
(Ok, I am. tepid-hungry-bun. Tradition must be obeyed.)
Anywho, we'll see how this works as a beard trimmer. I don't own any trimming equipment and I finally caved to my wife's wishes and am 2 weeks into a beard.
Q: When will it be shipped? And how can I track it?
A: We wait until the day after the event ends to print the shipping labels, and sometimes if it's busy it can be two or three days (not counting weekends, because we don't ship on weekends). Once it ships, we'll throw a tracking number on your orders page at https://meh.com/orders
We’re going to ship it the slowest and cheapest way we can possibly find. Usually that’s Smartpost or Surepost, which starts with FedEx or UPS and ends with the post office. It’ll probably be 2 weeks before you get it. And no you can’t get it any faster.
2 months later review: Fully charged, really didn't work as well as I had hoped. Couldn't even square sideburns with the thing. Broke my heart, because the aesthetic is much better than the Phillips BG2040 that I have.
I use mine almost every day and it’s working great so far. Shit, even if it stopped working now, I’d say I got my money’s worth out of it and I’d buy another.
@jazer313 Did you use it only once because you didn’t like it/didn’t fit your lifestyle? Or because you used it once and it broke/stopped charging/went rogue and autonomously shaved the cat?

Hair Ye hair ye, the deal tonight is for all clipper fans!
@AttyVette Try knot to get too tied up with this deal.
Edgy-dippy-cough
Glen survives a close shave tonight !
Actually looks cool, but I don't have modern hair.
I'll stick with my Wahl Peanut. No batteries, which ends up being the reason I replace most of cordless clippers within half a year.
@Stevo32792 I have the Peanut too and would have a hard time using anything else. Those battery operated ones just don't last long and seem weak in comparison.

With a janky brand name like 'Trym', shouldn't we use it to cut 'hare'?
@UncleEdZed You can Trym trim ;)
(I'm old :( )
I've been in the market for one - cheap enough I'll jump.
@RedOx That's me exactly. I've been putting off buying cuz there's so much crap in this price range. Might as well get a modern looking one.
I think you should have showcased the following Amazon review. Seems fitting for this site.

@sparkyfarad

Sheerlock Combs has been dreading this day.

everyone owns some hair.
Doesn't look robust enough for the thickly maned males of my family.

This is not the "Trym" most go looking for on the Internets.
@Pavlov You, sir, are a genius!
Goddamn right I is . . .
I own this one. The clippers aren't very loud, but they aren't very powerful either. Battery life is fair - the number of trims you get of course will depend on how much you're trimming at a time. @tigerxchaos Thanks for the honest review, always great to see what our community thinks about our products.
Reviews look half decent, but I don't need another.
Does the possible-uses contest continue for this product? Because I would tape this to two mini quadcopters and do flyby eyebrow trimming.
@DeepThots If not, I still stand by my idea
domestic-hairy-flower
I may just use this to trim my hairy flower. 😉
@Kerig3 that is one prickly flower! careful there, sailor!
Put on your headphone and give this a listen: It's pretty neat!
pretentious-tonal-dill
@notrobocop Perfect pic!
My current trimmer is close to death, so I'll bite.
bony-bizarre-day
This thing looks like it belongs in a sharper image catalog.
@DrunkCat Along with those Trump Steaks.
Nice, these will keep my balls extra smooth.
@The_Baron no doubt. these might shred them first.
Yaaaay! More guy products. (Insert girly sarcasm face) I could double your sales in CT alone if I told a few women they could get great deals here. Gettin so tired of staying up late to check Meh to grab great stuff for my hubby and sons. Yawn
As per usual, I will not be getting any Trym tonight
Why so many good reviews? Maybe because half of them are fake? Fakespot.com report:
So if half of the reviews are fake 5-stars, doesn't that mean this is really a 3-star clipper? How bout them sausages?
@stinks we love the fakespot mission but had some problems dialing in the accuracy of that landing page when we checked it out. When you click further in it says A Rated ... Trust the reviews. @stinks @snapster Shoot, there's a questionable review right up in the specs:
@narfcake heh yes I rather enjoyed @moose's work there :)
@snapster Make sure the next time some flashlights go up, he includes the reviews for IP cameras.
@snapster The insight I use is my gut, after reading so many product reviews I just go ahead and read the 1 stars first and then move on up from there.
Brads deals has this as one of their **top deals of the day, so ya got that going for ya.(%

@narfcake That's hilarious. And that guy has scores of 5-star reviews from Sept 4, 2015. Busy, fast buyin' dude. ;^)
I'm with @growyoungagain -- I usually start with the 3-stars, since they're usually realistically happy but complain about a few near-fatal flaws.
At any rate, I think this one item might not be as organic-word-of-mouthy successful as meh would have us believe! ;^D
Just wait on this one... Meh will trym the price another $5 by next week. I read on the Interweb that the Trym 3000 is coming out soon.
Realize that we who are looking for "online trim" hope you use this Trym...
Meh...More of a Spurs fan here.
These are pure junk. I bought two pair and they both went in the trash the same day I received them.
@SMelton when counting hair clippers does two pair = 4?
@discmaster They came with two clippers. The ones for sale here and another one that was junk as well. They would not cut at all. The directions that came with them had spelling errors throughout the entire paper. I purchased them on Woot 8 months ago.
@SMelton Here they are and also other junk by the same people

looking for my order #
never mind... just got an email for my purchase
Meh. One of the Amazon questions revealed it has Ni-Cad batteries. Coupled with a device that you want to set in its shiny charging doc (they recommend you only charge for 8 hours, but include a charging display stand) that's a recipe for soon dead/short-life batteries.
@jeffyoungstrom This is why I chose a Li-Ion powered Wahl over the Trym. It wouldn't be so bad if the battery were easily replaceable, but it snot.
Well, I held off all day thinking about this purchase. My current clippers sometimes pull rather than cut my neck hair. A $14 solution? Maybe worth it. Maybe just enough to annoy the wife. Oh well. Let'er rip. tenuous-arbitrary-swan
I though for sure the last picture was going to be somehow related to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Sigh.
The alternative pronunciation for Trym II, besides "trim 2", is "try 'em, too!" That would be on the subliminal level. Coupled with the elevator ride on today's movie on moving office space to downtown Dallas, the inferential metaphors abound. Danged smart advertising geniuses.
Can I shave my dog with this?
@kowisfam only if it is a modern breed, you will need to use traditional hair clippers on a traditional breed.
So really, how could I pass this up?

Estimated Delivery: 3/14 - 3/16
@Redbud I received mine a couple days ago (I guess the VMP priority shipping is working!). Do you have a shipment tracking number?
This thing works great, that's all.
2 months later review: Fully charged, really didn't work as well as I had hoped. Couldn't even square sideburns with the thing. Broke my heart, because the aesthetic is much better than the Phillips BG2040 that I have.
3 months later…works great - no problems at all. Very pleased with this purchase.
meh even beat the prime day sale price…
It was great when it worked. HOwever. my clipper no longer charges and it is well past the 90 day warranty.
Stopped working a few weeks past the warranty date
I use mine almost every day and it’s working great so far. Shit, even if it stopped working now, I’d say I got my money’s worth out of it and I’d buy another.
I used it only once, not worth the money.
@jazer313 Did you use it only once because you didn’t like it/didn’t fit your lifestyle? Or because you used it once and it broke/stopped charging/went rogue and autonomously shaved the cat?
@ruouttaurmind I did not like it, it is not powerful and fast as expected, I had to go over my beard many time to make sure I have a uniform cut.
