@redundancy2 See @djp519 's comment below. You can only power it for 3 years. May I suggest buy everyone battery operated toys for their birthday/christmas…
@Kidsandliz Oh, I'm sure these would still work 10 years from now... just not for very long. You might be changing the battery after each button press on your remote!
I had rechargeables in my TV remote, a Logitech Harmony 650 with a color screen. I had to recharge about every other month. Last time they went dead, I was out of town and my wife threw them away!
@tightwad Roomba virtual walls, Mr. Beams motion sensor lights use 4 C's (Those are the ones that mount on the ceiling & look like smoke detectors)-- I actually need some C's
Note that Dollar Tree sells Sunbeam-branded alkaline AA and AAA 4-packs (the quality of which I've found to be high) for $1 each. And I've seen similar pricing (e.g. $1.99 for an 8-pack of the house brand) at other chains.
So this is a good deal only with VMP membership or the purchase of two or three 40-packs (a lot of batteries to use by 2017).
@Rowsdower just realized another... if while shopping at dollar tree, you meet your future spouse and then they cheat on you and you get divorced and then you take daily walks in a park to find peace and then one day you find 5 bucks lying on the ground, Dollar Tree wins again!
@Moose Umm dollar store are made of something different than everready and duricell based on that article BUT Cost per amount of energy you get about the same for all. Since the dollar store ones have less energy packed inside than duracell or everready you are paying more for those latter two since they have more energy. His conclusion was if it is a flashlight won't matter what you use (you'd just replace them more often with dollar store ones but break even on cost in the end) but since the dollar store one has a pretty big voltage drop early on compared to the other two don't use it in things where voltage matters. Now of course none of this is relevant to Toshiba or the Rayvacs of the other day since we don't know if their twin is dollar store or eveready/duricell… So yeah, radiation poisoning is probably just as useful a conclusion in this case as any other...
@Moose@Kidsandliz Kidding aside, I'll point out (for the benefit of those who overlook the article's "update") that the author mistakenly purchased zinc chloride (instead of alkaline) batteries from the dollar store. That's an older (and inferior) type, commonly labeled "heavy duty" or "super heavy duty." Dollar Tree sells both varieties (and compensates for the disparity by including twice as many zinc chloride batteries per package), which is why I mentioned the Sunbeam alkaline 4-packs. (They stock Sunbeam zinc chloride AA and AAA batteries in 8-packs. They also offer Panasonic AA and AAA batteries in alkaline 2-packs and zinc chloride 4-packs – double the unit cost for products that are merely stamped with a better known brand.)
@chellemonkey Yeah, I was expecting a plastic arm off of a doll, but it was definitely a mannequin arm. With the little metal socket. I managed to not touch it while I was there.
@Zebra yeah at meh, woot, one of the chain drug stores around here (Forget which one) babies R us… all selling batteries on sale. It's a national conspiracy.
um... i got these before and they're lousy- they last about 30% as long as the cheapest generic you can buy. seriously- unless you have to, avoid these.
Whoo Hoo in for 2! Fluid Gullible koala These will pair nicely with my Speaker Docs!!100 hours of noise for $10.00 , .50 per session!!! Priceless neighbor annoyance value!
Why are so many people buying batteries!? All the shipping Meh will have to do will no doubt delay the shipping of the speaker dock I buy tomorrow. Bastards!
@snapster Is that $30,000+ meh raked in a record too? I guess now you can make payroll and pay the rent - oh yea and keep your roomba knife fighting robots juiced up.
@snapster I actually emailed friends to come by and buy them. That was for the shirt thing a few deals back. Plus probably the reason you got so many sales. Yep. That's it. I did it. : )
I am going to admit to being completely mediocre! I got mine, open them, and tried to use them. They don't fit in my JBL speaker dock! Big slept four head! They need AAA batteries duhhh! I think I would try to blame this on a goat but I'm not sure which one. I guess I'm the goat on this one ha Ha. Now MEH needs to sell something that uses AA batteries. So I am not soMEh! Smile

@mediocrebot Price check. You and "that other site" must be on the same wave length today. http://www.woot.com/plus/duracell-alkaline-batteries-3?utm_source=Daily+Digest&utm_campaign=7a50bd77d5-Daily+Digest+-+20140828+-+Woot&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c5ca76da11-7a50bd77d5-288986329 However if you were to buy 620 batteries from meh it would only cost you $77.50 vs $160 on "that other site". Way to go meh. Just show "that other site" what you are made of. :)
my girlfriend was looking for D batteries
@somf69 That's a large appliance she's using.
@JonT Dude, batteries.
@bottleknight aw, dude- sorry...
@somf69 Just have her switch to a Hitachi Magic Wand so she isn't dependent on batteries.
@Ryououki I wanna see the Magin Wand on meh.com with attractive price. ;-)
@somf69 Soooo...she wants the D
@Cirrius More like the Vvvvvvvvvvvvvv.
@zaeku refurbished, of course
I got these instantly. They're so pretty. Pretty, pretty batteries.
I still got my Rayovacs. Thanks though.
Immortal-emotional-bison
I'm starring my own comment because that's an awesome order phase.
@DaveInSoCal vengeful-rushing-fudge
@somf69 and a star for you!
@DaveInSoCal radical-cloudy-ground, so rad.
@DaveInSoCal I'll join you with my fancy-adjoining-stick
@DaveInSoCal didn't-buy-batteries Oh wait that's a non-order phrase
@DaveInSoCal Baleful-handsome-rhinoceros, seems to compliment immortal-emotionsl-bison.
@DaveInSoCal spotless-uptight-ape for me. That one hits a little too close to home.
I'm more into the NiMH rechargables. Especially those pre-charged jawns.
@jsh139 yes please sell all sorts of sizes of rechargables
Finally, I can use them for my "stuff"!
I still haven't started using those Rayovacs from last month, but these are oh so cheap! Egads.
My television remote will be powered for the next 20 years.
It says theses expire in 2017. Those Rayovacs say 2023.
@DJP519 If you still have these in 2017, you need more digital stuff.
@kylewood My kids go through 100 AA batteries per year. The more batteries, the better!
@TimUSCA That's probably great.
the meh face is a batter(i)ed woman. nice.
I had rechargeables in my TV remote, a Logitech Harmony 650 with a color screen. I had to recharge about every other month. Last time they went dead, I was out of town and my wife threw them away!
meh...gah
....I need AAA mehhhhhhhhhh
it's all your got? Please make me surprise.
if you're wondering if these are made in Japan, they are actually made in the People's Republic of China (PRC).
Not C type? meh.
@Gaster What uses C batteries these days?
@tightwad flashlights - including the ones meh sold yesterday.
@tightwad Roomba virtual walls, Mr. Beams motion sensor lights use 4 C's (Those are the ones that mount on the ceiling & look like smoke detectors)-- I actually need some C's
That's what I'm talking about...good stuff, great price...mehtastic!!
Been working my VMP membership like whoa....
@Stallion dude, totally whoa

@Rowsdower also if you die before your shipment arrives, the dollar tree batteries win there too.
@Rowsdower just realized another... if while shopping at dollar tree, you meet your future spouse and then they cheat on you and you get divorced and then you take daily walks in a park to find peace and then one day you find 5 bucks lying on the ground, Dollar Tree wins again!
@Rowsdower @snapster I'm not 100% sure what they're saying because I can't read but I think these graphs indicate that dollar store batteries will likely give you radiation poisoning. http://www.wired.com/2012/01/are-expensive-batteries-worth-the-extra-cost/
@Moose Umm dollar store are made of something different than everready and duricell based on that article BUT Cost per amount of energy you get about the same for all. what about package total weight ?
@peterkim7 equals the weight of 5 mannequin baby arms.
@kylewood Wait. It's not a doll baby arm? It's a mannequin baby arm? Why is that more creepy to me?!
@chellemonkey Yeah, I was expecting a plastic arm off of a doll, but it was definitely a mannequin arm. With the little metal socket. I managed to not touch it while I was there.
@bluedyn Probably for the best, if you had touched it you might have been gypsy cursed!
@JonT All those unsuspecting fools who shook hands with it, such a shame. RIP forum noobs, and one random stranger
@chellemonkey True. And sorry for the truth. Not sure were it came from. I think it must have crawled over here from an abandoned warehouse.
'-'....... battery $5, shipping $5... Oh... confused!
@greytraces need VMP.
@greytraces vmp is free 30 days pay 5 usd
For $5? Why not...
@billchase2 that's a slippery slope. next thing you know you'll be buying $15 speaker docks
@snapster I blame VMP.
@billchase2 What? You don't blame @marklog? Practicing for when his time is up as scapegoat?
I still have the like... 100 batteries I bought last time.
First world meh-probs.
@redfenix Electric toothbrush out of juice this AM, had to use muscle power.
The write-up today sounds like Irk. I read the whole thing in his voice/cadence.
meh ! You 'da winner !!
This must be 'national battery daily deal combat day' ?
@Zebra yeah at meh, woot, one of the chain drug stores around here (Forget which one) babies R us… all selling batteries on sale. It's a national conspiracy.
um... i got these before and they're lousy- they last about 30% as long as the cheapest generic you can buy. seriously- unless you have to, avoid these.

So, meh. I guess.
Whoo Hoo in for 2! Fluid Gullible koala
These will pair nicely with my Speaker Docs!!100 hours of noise for $10.00
, .50 per session!!! Priceless neighbor annoyance value!
Skip isn't working, jump to 2m.
if i need 50 pack how i am going to order?
@sppho order two 40 packs and throw away 30 of them?
Why are so many people buying batteries!? All the shipping Meh will have to do will no doubt delay the shipping of the speaker dock I buy tomorrow. Bastards!
@phatmass Blame @Marklog.
It's not a speaker dock, and I need AA batteries. Sold, somehow.
Good job guys. I can only wonder how you guys find a warehouse full of batteries though.
We are about to reach an official Meh Inversion guys... more qty sold than Meh button mashers.
Time to tell people who do not want batteries to come by and tell us they don't like this sale. That's logical right?
@snapster Congratulations. I guess I need to make more shill accounts to help offset this issue.
Battery buyers = 1
Haters gonna Hate = 0
Meh Warehouse = :-0
@snapster I would click Meh and buy anyway. :)
@snapster congrats and hopefully that will save us from days and days of speaker docks - opps I mean non-rechargable batteries for sale? RIght?
@snapster: How did this happen? A rift in the force? El nino? I'm scared!
Yep. That's it. I did it. : )
I just got 40inch 1080p 120hz of Toshiba batteries!!
These batteries have teh best refresh rate!
