Today is..
5Today is potluck day at work. I made two sopapilla cheesecakes. One of them is vegan.
Really not sure if the vegan one turned out right and really unwilling to try it myself. Give me my dairy!
What is your day going to be like? Waiting for it to be over and posting is no fair.

Most of my days off typically surround my kids. For instance the recent removal of my oldest son’s wisdom (teeth).

Wishing I would have remembered to pick up one of those sticky fly strip things when I was at the store last night though. There’s too many flies in our office and they’re so big and gross.

Nothing too exciting here today. Schoolwork with the kiddos this morning. Hope to play some Jackbox games with the Meh peoples this afternoon. I think we are going to have brinner tonight so that’s something to look forward to.

I woke up and went to work. Also I’m talk with some of the best people on the internet. I also bought some nacho chips. Taco Bell chips in fact.

The day I signed up, I agreed with myself that it was probably a financial mistake.
Work has been pretty slow and unexciting lately. I treated myself to bubble tea with the palak paneer (cheese and spinach) I had for lunch.
After work, I’m meeting a friend for dinner before she goes to a party. I was supposed to join her but honestly, I’m not up for it mentally, and she’s being very kind about not dragging me along. We’re getting Korean food, which should be fun, and maybe go to a bar as well, though most of the bars in the area we’re meeting are pretty expensive and crowded.
After that I’ll probably stay in the area and do some window shopping, there’s lots of stores in that area I like and haven’t been to in a while. Then go home and attempt to clean my apartment some and/or play some games.
I’ve also recently picked up a water flosser, since I have a permanent retainer and have always had trouble flossing back there. I guess I’ll give that a spin soon too.
@Kawa What type of Korean food? Is the waterpik type? It feels weird the first couple times you use it but it’s not bad.
@Targaryen The place is interesting, like a cafeteria with a lot of Korean comfort food options and buffet tables, so lots of options and a little less expensive than the other restaurants in the area. I’ll probably get cold noodles of some sort.
Yeah, it’s a Waterpik Cordless Plus. Not cheap but I don’t actually have a bathroom counter so I couldn’t do a countertop model, and this one comes with a tip specifically for orthodontics. We’ll see how it goes!
I didn’t see this until the day was almost over, but I’ll pretend I saw it this morning and think what I would have guessed…
My day will be awesome.

(Today is) a bit of a personal lazy day.
Oh! I almost forgot. The vegan sopapilla cheesecake apparently turned out great. I was told by a non-vegan that my vegan one was better than my non-vegan one.
I didn’t try the vegan one. Give me my dairy!
Time to go to the farmer’s market now that I am back home. It sucks as a farmer’s market as there are usually less than 10 vendors any given Saturday, and I am not so sure that some of them don’t just buy grocery store stuff and resell it at a more expensive price (the sticker on one thing at one vendor’s booth was kind of a give away), but I do like tomatoes not picked prior to being ripe and the tomato vendor I think does grow his own.
