@cengland0 My guess is that there was a bit of friendly competition to raise money for the charity with the end result being that he shaved his head and money was donated.
@cengland0St. Baldrics is one example, no idea if that is what @Collin1000 did though. The local police participate, and some of the radio jocks used to do it too.
@cengland0 there are certain charities that accept hair to give to chemo patients to make them feel more comfortable with their head and the hair on it. Perhaps it was that?
@cengland0 What @purplepawprints said is spot on. Friendly competition between classes to see which could raise the most in the limited timeframe. My students knew that if they won, I'd shave my head during school. The great part was that the 1st and 2nd place class were tied the entire time, so they had to keep bringing in donations every day. 3rd place raised only half of what we raised.
I looked into donating my hair, but learned that it needed to be at least 7 inches in length and I did not meet that requirement.
@Collin1000 I have donate my hair 4 times in the last 10 years..each time was a VERY different hair cut, but wow..to go bald? I am not that courageous.
Fantastic! You look great, did a great thing, and taught one of the most important lessons ever to those kids. The Youtube link says it's for Pennies for Patients drive for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you from my family who also have a fundraising campaign for #shanestrong.
Aww, you are so cute... before and after.
And your generous heart makes you even cuter.
Was the lady doing it wrong so you had to fire her?
I agree with @barney..totally adorable! Your kids seem to be happy about you going bald too.
You're pretty awesome for doing this! You also have a very nice shaped head. Bald suits you well.
How does a charity make money off you shaving your head? Just curious.

Bald works for you.
After watching the whole thing now, I'm thinking Frank has shaved a few heads before.
My friend has a 2 year old who is going through chemo right now for brain cancer. Thank you. So so very much.
