Till I was 27 I lived with my dad and he doesn’t have ac. He lives on the lake but my my room was on the back side of the house and never really cooled off (the bottom floor has plaster walls and ceiling, so hot in summer and very cold in winter) plus I slept with my door shut so it was always with the windows open and the ceiling fan. I’m the kind of person that has to sleep with a sheet on no matter what. Before night sweats it was always up to my neck (so the vampires couldn’t bite me lol). It never really bothered me unless it was in the 70’s at night. I have ac now but I still like the ceiling fan on in the summer and boyfriend hates it.
Wish I could flag multiple options because I sleep with AC on, ceiling fan going, and a comforter. I just need some weight on top of me to feel comfortable.
ac up, and the fan on me. despite the ac being literally one inch from my head we need the fans to keep our bedroom sufficiently cool. the room is barely larger than our king size mattress, but it’s in an attic with pitched ceilings that receives direct sun all day from every angle esp in the late afternoon, and the ac is but a small old window unit. we gorilla tape the area around it and keep the door to the room shut pretty much 24/7 and that helps.
I use AC @ 70°F, comforter (no sheets – ever), ceiling fan on low, & boxer briefs. I’d sleep naked, but I have kids and I love them too much to ever let them see that…
AC on at 68 degrees. Two blankets and sweatpants and T shirt… oh, and two cats on the bed, close to me, with a second sheet on top of the blankets to keep the cat hair at bay. Over the counter sleep aids make sure that I could sleep through an earthquake.
Oh, and most importantly, add in a clear conscience.
Blissful sleep. Every night.
( Not saying that the clear conscience is due to lack of bad choices or actions on my part. I just don’t let my conscience bother me any more. Hehe.)
I need… AC that keeps it below 90 pleasesendhelp
Enough air circulation so I don’t sweat.
AC up a bit, ceiling fan on, sheet for a buffer/filter because I don’t like direct air hitting me.
@mvalleeis This, though don’t have a fan
@mvalleeis You nailed it for me.
@mvalleeis @spitfire6006006 Same here
Gonna get some hate but… I sleep on top of the sheets. Totally out in the open.
@DoctorOW Dude, sleeping nude is LIFE
@DoctorOW
Out in the open under the stars? Now you’re talkin!!
@toastytater @lynnerizer I thought @doctorow was insinuating sleeping literally on top of the sheets maybe with the door open.
@Lynnerizer @njfan @toastytater I was.
nekkid
It does feel ridiculous setting my AC to 67 so I can use the comforter but it’s how I sleep best
@sleuth if you connect your AC to a smart plug, that isn’t too bad. Like set it to turn it off after an hour after you are in dreamland.
