@cengland0 Well considering he advertises this crap on shows that have piles of women watching who have nothing better to do than sit glued to the TV I am not surprised. And it looks like a “good deal” due to the price cut so that lures some of them in who then never question why enough people never bought it to begin with that is it being remainder out now.
There is precious little on that site I’d ever buy. Ever. But then again I am not part of his target demographic either. And apparently morningsave is doing well enough. It is just unfortunate that some of that garbage ends up over here though as it adds to the, ‘Are you kidding? In what universe would I ever buy that?’ we already have. .
@unksol We have those also - aside from the regular wild regular pigs, there are huge russian boars, which can get up to 600 lbs or more. Back in the early 1900s, a rich socialite and buddy of William Randolph Hearst, bought a huge ranch down near Monterey and turned into a private club for the SF elite, and he imported these things for hunting and “decoration”. He and Hearst had a friendly competition on who could have the most exotic animals on their rancho. The boars, of course, got loose and spread for hundreds of miles, interbreeding with the smaller wild pigs. Bears, their only predator, had been eliminated from most of the California landscape by then. Fish & WIldlife runs various hunting and trapping programs to keep them under control, but they are still permitted on private lands.
Note to bottom feeders:
No go here today.
You might want to check the actual vectors for the spread of the Coronavirus. Face masks aren’t a help, just a placebo. Get out there and buy up all the hand sanitizer, that’s the real way to avoid infection according to the CDC and the WHO. Might be a hint-hint for Meh. They’d buy you out of the stuff in an hour no matter how much you had. Maybe if you threw in a couple of bottles with the handbags they’d start moving. Seems the bottom feeders get obsessive.
@Dog19026 mmm I think you meant washing your hands and not giving a fuck since it’s nothing compared to the normal flu. I’d hope our normal metizens are too cheep or too smart to buy pointless masks or care about this stupid virus that has barely spread In an incredibly dense population and has a really low mortality rate. Who cares
@Dog19026@unksol mortality rate is over 2% so far, and that’s probably a lowball number, since it is going by current numbers and some who are sick will still die.
It’s the rate of spread that’s lower than flu, but on the other hand, if it takes 14 days to show symptoms, it’s real hard to contain.
@kevinrs@unksol Who me? I am in great physical shape, my immune system is not compromised and I take pretty good care of myself. I have nothing to worry about. The big broom may be coming but not for me.
I am commenting on the Internet profiteers who will clean Meh out of any decent deal looking to resell it thereby defeating the spirit of this site.
In the case of the face masks I bring up, the same folks have gone out and bought up every available mask online and they will soon show up on ebay at hugely inflated prices looking to profit from people’s paranoia. The joke may be on them as it appears host to host infection is not from coughing or sneezing but from physical contact. You are both right. The average healthy individual has nothing to fear at all.
I wonder if today’s normally a slow day for online retail. Maybe whoever was queuing up the Meh deals for February looked at the calendar, figured too many people would be watching the Super Bowl to make it worthwhile to put up something cool, and thus chose to run some MorningSave overstock instead.
