So. Little things annoy me these days like having to match socks, or picking which pair of underwear to wear…. Debating about trying to find where I can get a single color of boxers and buy like 100 pairs. That should last me quite a few years…
I got fed up with matching socks too and decided that if guys can just wear black, brown or white socks with everything, I can too - so that’s what I do now (mostly black, all the same brand/style) and I’m pretty sure nobody that I encounter ever even notices.
If I have to dress up I’m not going to be wearing socks, anyway.
I don’t understand why you’re thinking about this.
Don’t worry about color. Just wear whatever is on top of the stack. New, clean undies just go on the bottom of the stack.
Apply this to all articles of clothing you wear, and just don’t buy outer clothes that won’t match.
When my daughter was in middle school, she adopted the policy that today’s socks were whichever two she picked up first, whether they matched or not. No attempt was made to organize them in the drawer. She continued this through high school and college, and into some of her jobs. I don’t think it is still applied at the current day job; that one requires a professional-ish image of sorts. I wouldn’t be surprised if she did it while tending bar, though.
I’ve been doing the single type of socks for a long time. Just buy 20-30 pairs. When they go bad, toss them. When it finally gets low, buy all new socks.
You sound like you would’ve done really well in a communist country during the 1950-1990 era. Buying clothing consisted of going to a store and buying “clothing,” which was essentially whatever single type of item/color they managed to import from Europe that year, in like two different sizes to choose from. The only variety came from what people managed to sneak back in after their foreign vacations/sabbaticals.
Just get dressed in the dark.

No blue shirt guy, don’t go back to the way you were! We need you to save our video game world!

Every day the same thing! Variety!
