I have these and used one for a White Elephant gift this Christmas. It was stolen the max number of times. They really are cool, but have a limited entertainment value lifespan. Fun to get back out once in a while and showing them to people that have never seen them is always fun.
My 3 year old nephew just found this in my basement and loved it. It kept him entertained the entire day he was at my house. He kept calling it “his tv” bc it was small like him. He was so entertained by Jurassic park, he couldn’t stop watching it. It was definitely a win and I think I got it for free with a coupon I had last year.
One of the ‘secrets’ I learned with my Star Trek one is that if you change out the factory batteries you get more scenes. We had (I think) 12 at first, but when I saw that tip and changed out the batteries, it went up to 15 (or maybe even 20…I can’t remember). Not sure if it’s the same with the Jurassic Park one.
The Trekkies I gave them to loved them. They’re actually pretty cool.
@k4evryng
I’m not sure about the scenes, battery’s were doa so I had to replace them for it to even work.
Does yours turn off for no reason? Mine will turn off after watching just one clip of the movie. It’s really annoying. Mine also didn’t have the full number of clips that it was supposed to come with.
I’m kiiiiiiinda tempted - I’ve seen folks hack this, and they’d make fun displays for an ESP32 to do something wacky with - but IIRC the hacks were… not simple. And if I’m buying one of these just to do Stupid Arduino Tricks with, I don’t want to have to expend actual EFFORT.

Closed captions must absolutely rock on this!
I’m not one to complain, but I can’t see any reason why anyone would want this. Walmart should have kept it.
@CyberneticAngel
This is peak doll house furniture.
@CyberneticAngel they’re just a fun, nostalgic and kinda neat thing to have.
Got my first two here, liked them so much I hunted down several others.
Have them displayed on a shelf and folks love playing with them when they get noticed!
@CyberneticAngel The Star Trek TOS is awesome. I liked mine so much, I bought a second one the next time they went on sale.
VAN MURALS! GROUND SQUIRRELS! SPIT CURLS! AWESOME!
@PHRoG Fair enough. I guess there are reasons

It plays 12 to 20 clips. How many come with it . And where to buy them
@captkirkstny don’t remember how many the Jurassic Park one has…but, the difference is due to the amount of storage they have.
Ones with less scenes is because the scenes are longer and ones with more are because they’re shorter.
You can’t/don’t buy extra or different scenes.
Oof @dseanadams
@therealjrn Wow, yikes! I am going to fix this, but I am no longer even sure what I meant to write…
D,awww! That’s just perfect!

@Star2236 I don’t think ours turns off. That would definitely be annoying.
My husband just ran through all the scenes and he counted 20 plus the theme song clip. I hope your set starts working properly.
