The skull chandelier is rad!
@lordbowen The dragon light too!
I wonder what “celebrity” owns that monstrosity…
my fav. part of those photo tours is finding the photog’s reflections in mirrors that they either missed, or couldn’t avoid.
I’d buy it but only if the furniture came with it.
Heh. Upscale Goth, LV style. Skulls and teddy bears.
Only in Vegas!
We’re redoing our kitchen and I’m looking at layouts. I don’t see a sink- is it off to the right? Love the chandelier but I’m afraid it would collect stir fry oil.
@sammydog01 From the way the ceiling makes a corner, it looks like the photographer is standing with his/her back to the sink on the 4th side of the room.
Chandeliers and actual working kitchens are a bad match.
@rockblossom You would get your steps in making dinner. Thanks.
@sammydog01 If those are 18" floor tiles, then the kitchen isn’t very big. I think the dishwasher must be next to the sink. The steel undercabinet thing is probably a wine cooler because it has no outside controls. No photos of either the garage or the laundry room, which are places that interest me when looking at houses.
@sammydog01 is it not here?
Maybe that’s not one of the original photos, I see that it’s said they changed some.
The faucet head is actually dangling down (or clipped into its bracket) from the spring I circled.
Also, I have fridge envy. That thing is gorgeous!
@djslack I swear that is a ninja photo and it wasn’t shown before. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. That fridge is too darn big- I would just have moldy stuff lingering in the back.
I like having my sink by the window so I can look outside while I do the dishes.
@sammydog01 I see your point about sink placement. Mine is similar to this and I get to look at my dining room table while I do dishes. Maybe these people like to look out the window while they whip up a stew of their enemies.
Never judge a house by their front door. Talk about spending an ass ton on paint and furnishings. Whoever buys that is gonna pay out the ass to to repaint. I do like the artwork outside, I wish I could see all of it.
@Star2236 Unless they buy it because of its interior decorating! There’s a house in my city that was a charming yellow and white Victorian, very pretty, on a corner lot. Someone bought it and painted the entire thing black and built a black cinderblock wall around it. I’m intensely curious about what it’s like inside.
@Kyeh
That sucks. You should just go up to the door and ask to see inside. People are usually very nice and if they’ve done a remodel will gladly show it off.
@Star2236 I don’t know - the all-black exterior and cinderblock wall don’t look very welcoming!
@Kyeh
Well you never to you try. They could be the nicest people ever and just put up the cinderblock wall to block out the noise of traffic? There are a few house in my area I want to see inside too, one was the old clubhouse for the neighborhood ghats next to my dads. It used to have a library, ballroom and grand dinning room. It burnt down in a fire and was boarded up till I was about 7-8 and them somebody bought it and renovated it and it’s never gone on the market since.
When I was in high school and would skip school a friend and I would break into abandoned houses and explore. There aren’t many of them anymore bc the areas really developed since then but it was a fun pastime and gave us something to do. There were some really cool houses we found.
Also when I’ve gone on vacation to places like Savannah (or wherever) I always ho on house tours to see the inside of old houses. It’s cool to see what they did back then and appreciate the beauty.
My dad grew up in a gorgeous Detroit old school house and I think that’s where I’ve got my passion from
@Star2236 If I ever see anyone outside the house I might inquire, but it’s not in my neighborhood so I’m not by it that often. I’m sad they painted it completely black and put up that black wall because it looks really ugly to me. It would be funny if it looked all cheery and colorful inside.
What’s with the terrible resolution? How can i channel my inner Gladys Kravitz & ogle their stuff with those hazy-ass photos?? From what i CAN see though, they sure do have an interesting aesthetic!
@ircon96 Yeah, not very impressive photos, not sure why.
Interesting to see the house as it was before the makeover: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/M1370216690
Huh - a lot of the photos are no longer in the listings, but you can still find them if you google the address and look in “Images.”
@Kyeh they are trying to downplay the bat shit crazy vibes lol
@tinamarie1974 Well, it’s been sold for while now, evidently! But it started trending on Twitter, (so I heard - not on Twitter myself) with lots of people saying how awful it was, so maybe the new owners wanted the photos taken down?
@Kyeh oh that could be. I didnt notice it was sold. Color me unobservant
@tinamarie1974
Or just not as obsessed with snooping on weird houses!
