Are you taking about the Trackrs? Or I think there is also a tracking product called Tile. If it’s the Trackers I’ve yet to find helpful info. One person mentioned a third party piece of software, but that doesn’t work w/ Trackrs. I have close to 100 of these items & no way to use on ios devices…
Or, if I’m reading this all wrong & Meh sent you two ceramic tiles, might I suggest this being the perfect time to start that mosaic you have always wanted to create.
@elfunkman We’re still trying to find a solution for iOS. Really unfortunate that the apps don’t see them on iOS because they have all of the original features on the alternate app on Android.
@elfunkman@ExtraMedium
cool. What’s the android app? I still have several trackrs and have given some away to folks I am sure would like to know as well.
You will have to create a new login but once you have the app you can just head to the “Things” section to add your TrackR to the app and you’ll be all set. The “ring your phone” feature seems to be the only thing that it can’t do, but that might be a limitation of permission for the app and not the devices. Also, if I’m honest, this app has a better interface and quality than the original so it’s pretty cool that it just works.
@ExtraMedium Super thanks for this info. Even if you never get it going for ios, sometimes it 's just nice to know you tried.
Regarding SwiftFinder, the lack of “Ring my Phone” is a pretty big loss of functionality, but it’s definitely a start.
I’m actually surprised that no one seems to care more about this, given that you sold quite a few. It seems like there has to also be an interesting backstory to how this all occurred that I hope will get shared someday.
Of course I’m also happy that, this being Meh, no one is going off the deep end over this. There was no lifetime warranty, implied or stated that these things would last forever. Did I think they’d only last a month, no… but, meh, what are you gonna do.
@elfunkman
yeah, “file it under you get what you paid for…”
as for “find my phone” I have a couple of different watches that can do that ( some from meh even…)
FWIW my TrackR on my key ring will still ring my phone, but when I try to ping it from my phone it lights up but doesn’t make a noise. Thankfully, I have (ahem… cough,cough) several more around…I’ll try one of them to see if I can get it to work.
@chienfou if you don’t mind keep us all posted on any luck you have. I’m going to look at tweaking some generic software, but no breath holding please.
It sounds like @ExtraMedium is also trying a few approaches.
Obviously none of us are conducting work of great import on this. But if we can keep them out of the landfill for a while longer, I’d call it a sucess!
If you go to your orders you can find the product thread under “discuss my rad purchase”. Post there and maybe someone can help you find instructions.
@sammydog01 Thank you!

Hmm. With a little double-stick foam tape, would the TrackRs make useful case bottom glides?
