@Humper And all this time I thought the “bubblegum” line was original to Duke Nukem. I’ve seen clips of the film online, but never discovered the name of the film until this thread. The film apparently gets no play or mention in Middle America where I live; TV Tropes says it’s more popular in Europe, as it was written as a critique of Reaganomics.
I mean, it just doesn’t end! They beat the crap out of each other, then they talk for a bit, then they beat the crap out of each other again, then talk some more, and it goes on for…how long is the fight scene?
It’s really a Rowdy Roddy Piper movie more than anything else. Almost exactly like “Escape From New York,” it has a great premise quickly lost in inane details and comes to a clever ending that isn’t quite as clever as it thinks it is. Oh, and some skin.
Everyone who votes “What is that?” deserves an ass kicking.
@Humper too freaking right
@Humper I voted “What is that?” Before locating my bubble-gum.
@Thumperchick And this is another reason why I married you.
@Humper

@Wormwood “chew bubblegum and kick ass” probably the most quoted line from the movie.

@rprebel Lemme take a look, ahhh… wait- wait… nope, still going.
If the objective was to stump… mission accomplished based on that answer distribution.
Wrestlers can stage fight like nobody else. It makes me wonder why the Rock sucks in movies.
Hell Comes to Frogtown is not actually my favorite, but I have watched it more times. Many more times.
Movies where characters wear ascots exude class.
AN AMERICAN CLASSIC
The Tomb of Nick Cage knows all about it.
“They Live” by TONC

DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY
Best. Fight scene. Ever. Period.
This movie is in dire need of a reboot with better acting, scripts, directing, and cgi.
@caffeine_dude shut your mouth
Love that movie. RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper.
MONEY IS YOUR GOD
@Moose How do you make a gif like that?
@aetris I made it frame-by-frame in photoshop
@Moose Lies.
@DrunkCat
I was really busy all last week but needed to come back to this. I am not a liar.
@Moose You and your high tech computer skills.
@Moose I honestly thought it was basically a built-in swipe where you expose the bottom layer. You’re nuts.
Teach me your ways.
All I had to see was John Carpenter, and I knew I wouldn’t like it

Way too many “What is that”. Go watch it you moon men.
Good movie. Good soundtrack (is there such thing as a bad Carpenter soundtrack?). Good use of sunglasses.
It’s all good.
